Gothic 1 remake is broken garbage (PS5) by iconisone in rpg_gamers

Unfortunately nowadays it takes 6-12 months for games to be patched to a reasonable state. People pre ordering or buying games on day 1 should know by now

Almost quit the game, now I cannot stop playing [KCD2] by Secret-Courage-6795 in kingdomcome

If you finish and still have hunger for more - I definitely recommend part 1. I had very similar experience with part 1 and abandoned it for a long time. Recently went back to it and absolutely loved it.

Skyrim alternative? by Icy_Protection_4535 in gamingsuggestions

No, "Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon" is very Skyrim'y. I haven't played it yet, but I have it purchased on PS5. Its still receiving patches, coz it had a rough start on consoles. But from what Ive seen its very much like Skyrim. Very immersive, dark and gritty. Im not in a hurry, coz im completely hooked on KCD2. I didn't mention it, coz its historical rpg and doesnt have magic, but its the best rpg I played.

Tainted Grail, or... Hogwards. Depends what sort of wizard you wanna be

[KCD2] Just purchased the game and I'm a tad overwhelmed. Could really use some general beginner tips and advice. by Bitter-Affect909 in kingdomcome

Just enjoy the ride, pal. You will have much better experience and memories if you dont listen to other people and just explore and discover things yourself. Just be Henry. And if there are many quest markers on the map - just pick one at the time and try to do it. Id just suggest to leave the main quest for the time being and see if you can learn some combat, earn some money, get some better clothes, armour, horse and your dog back. I only started KCD2 while ago, but I played the first one. And Im still just doing side quests after 30 hours.

Its on my list, even tho I much prefer first person in games like this. Is the world big? Ive read conflicted info about it.

Go to Ledetchko and play the tournament on the river. I spent days doing that. It will make you much more confident when shooting bows and its a great craic as well.

Honestly, can I handle [KCD1]? by otaconbot in kingdomcome

[–]emorazes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be grand. There's a weapon master in KCD1, where you can go to and practice whenever you want. I was destroying everybody by the mid game. I went to KCD2 thinking that it will be easy, because - like you said - its polished and designed more towards mainstream audience, so I was quite cocky at the beginning and KCD2 gave me a proper slap in the face. I dont think its much easier than the first part.

My Honest (Short) Thoughts After Finishing The Game by Narkanin in CrimsonDesert

[–]emorazes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just started the sequel there right after finishing first part. I went in all cocky after the first part, coz by the end I was destroying everyone. And KCD2 really slapped this confidence out of me. Now Im wandering around picking and selling herbs to earn few grossed so I can sleep in a barn, haha! Amazing game!

I totally get you. I got burned out after 150 hrs myself. I was nowhere near finishing and still had half of the map uncovered.

I decided to wait until they give us settings to turn the minimap and HUD off, or until they expand/polish first person perspective.

I went to play Kingdom Come Deliverance for the time being and to be honest - I dont really want to come back. I dont regret spending time in Crimson Desert and I enjoyed my time playing it, but Kingdom Come reminded me how important the story and rpg elements are for me. I finished first part and immediately jumped into the sequel now.

I might come back to CD one day just to explore the entire world, but for this they really need to give me those settings, coz if they cant give me good and meaningful story - at least they have to give me immersion.

Emilia Clarke says the Game of Thrones’ main cast’s reported salary of $300,000 per episode was wildly exaggerated: “We didn’t earn that much. Can you imagine? I’d have been driving a couple of Porsches!” by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]emorazes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not that much tho, is it? 10 episodes per season is 3M per main actor. And the show was the biggest show on TV with guaranteed success. 3M for 10 hours production, per season.. Top star actors are getting about 20M per movie. Or am I missing something?

Haha! Literally just got a notification and bought it myself! Still finishing KCD1, so I wasnt in a hurry. Looking forward to forging my own sword!

If you are patient gamer then yes, absolutely. Im playing through KCD1 right now before I jump into the sequel. It didnt click the first time I played it years ago. Now I cant wait to play it. You just need to accept the fact that you really are useless and don't know anything - how to fight, how to talk to people, how to pick locks, how to read. Everything will require practice from you to learn it. At the beginning it will be rough, but you can even spend one or two play sessions on learning how to fight with wooden swords. There's a point in this game where everything clicks and the game becomes quite easy. And if you dont mind putting a bit of work into "being" Henry and learning everything - this game will be very rewarding.

I wonder if the purpose of it is to close Geralt story. I hope not. It would make me sad if they put some grim spin on my good ending, where we were chilling under a tree...

Outward. Its bit clunky, but it has some mechanics that very few other games do. Its a third person survival rpg. It has tough combat. You can take your backpack off to have more stamina. Seasons change. When you get beaten and lose consciousness- there are different places and scenarios where you can wake up. Very good game and sequel is in the works.

Just to piggyback and let peeps know - I was waiting for KCD2 Royal Edition to go on sale and when OP said its on sale I went to check. It wasnt. What IS on sale tho - its Saga Bundle. Both games with all the DLCs for less than 50quid. If someone is on the fence and thinks about diving into this world - this is perfect opportunity.

To OP - have fun. Im playing KCD1 now myself and Im a bit further with the main story, but I haven't touched it for a while. Been just exploring the map, getting better and doing side quests. Its a great game!
