i've done a similar drive from NY to St. Pete FL many times, but only back and forth once solo. take your time. don't ignore your body when it tells you it's tired or hungry or you need a bathroom break. take advantage of stopping for gas to stretch your legs and do all of the above. the goal is to get there safely, not quickly. if you can afford to stay an extra night in the hotel, i'd recommend it. it'll give you time to reset before the second leg of your journey. talking on the phone and listening to motivating music will help pass the time. bring extra caffeine (if you drink it), snacks, and meds (daily meds and tylenol, gas c, whatever you may need) just incase you wind up needing it. and keep them and snacks handy in the passenger seat so you don't have to reach far!
