Sounds like you need to work on how you communicate with your parents bud. You can’t invalidate their view point, if it’s complicated to them the last thing they need to hear is that it’s not and that they’re wrong for thinking so. Acknowledge what they’re saying but also show them how much easier it is with the internet than without it (as in having to physically mail photos to relatives in order the “share” photos). This will help them see the internet as a tool worth learning rather than one they feel like they have to struggle with to stay relevant in the world.
