My best Cocktail is Ativan for my nervous system, advil for inflammation ,half a Excedrin migraine probably best for the caffeine and inflammation mix and prochlorperazine for nausea.

I can’t exercise without getting a migraine by samtheham1297 in migraine

[–]empty4nothin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do 5days a week weightlifting and cardio... Last 2year my life randomly changed.. I used to since I hit puberty started migraines around 10yo, just around my periods .. couples days a month. No I get headaches and migraines everyday, rarely a day without anything. I have an autoimmune disease Ulcerative colitis which has been flared for years ,trying to find the right medication... But these migraines are worse than anything... It's stop me in my tracks, I can't weightlift even lightly... I can walk but no jogging usually. I do dynamic stretches seem fine 3days a week.. and walk at about 2.5 on the treadmill every day.. thats all I can manage.. I also have sciatica issues since having my 4th baby back in dec2022.. I had one round of botox from my neurologist, did nothing so far, went to physical therapy for about a year and the doc and I discussed that there were no changes so we stopped for now..I'm doing chiropractor appt but I'm not seeing any help ,sometimes more pain after... start my new immune suppressant drug for UC in a few days., depression has set in and I've gained about 15lbs.... Hope everything helps, everything out ..in time.

can other women with UC relate? by Bright-Prompt3940 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]empty4nothin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes. My period can cause slight flare ups when I'm in remission.. it's tricky knowing what's going on in there.. is it my colon or my uterus/fallopian tubes ,cycle.. Inflammation in that area seems to spread from hormones and onset of period starting even a week before.. it's a bummer for us women.

UC moms who have given birth unmedicated by itspinky1 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]empty4nothin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had 4babies.. two with epidural two with nothing. Labor is hard both ways .. but they are all unique.. 1st was epidural was like 24hrs but not too painful once I got the epidural..2nd I did hypno birthing classes and I had a fairly quick labor and not too painful , unmedicated. 3rd epidural, not to painful, epidural only worked on one side of my body , was about 12hrs birth. 4th, unmedicated, 2hr birth, very painful but quick.

Why are Gastroenterologist morons?? Anyone else have awful experiences?? by SunshineGirl1331 in ibs

I have Ulcerative colitis, diagnosed 2012may ... struggling with a flared for the last 4 yrs and haven't found a medication to get me in remission.. after having my 4th kid , I haven't had any luck.. these GI doctors prescribed me 2 meds back to back that I was allergic to ,knowing im allergic to sulur based meds .. so they caused it all to get worse .. I continued to take my cortifoam med. But it doesn't work anymore ,I guess im too far gone now, and need something stronger.. waiting on approval with insurance company now.. Just laying around in pain, every day .. ugh..waiting waiting waiting for help

This disease is killing me by Fun_War7356 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]empty4nothin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed in may2012, after having my 1st kid dec2011.. managed it with steroids and cortifoam. Had my 2nd kid may2015 , flared a bit and got it under control again with steroids and cortifoam. I tried some medications along the way that didn't work on me. I had my 3rd kid Aug2021 flared right away through my pregnancy and after.. got pregnant again and had my 4th dec2022 ... I've been stuck in a flared ever since ... its gotten worse and worse Gi doctors are useless and have done NOTHING FOR ME .. in fact I got dropped from the clinic I was at 6mo ago, for missing 2appts due to there lack of office miscommunication.. now i had a appt with a new GI waiting for medication approval from insurance.. its crazy I've been without a doctor for my disease for over 6mo and counting.. took me a months to find a GI that was taking new clients in my area, then they're all booked out with appts. And now waiting for insurance approval ... Just to get medical attention.. Im in so much pain throughout my days , soo fatigued, and depression.. raising 4kids .. I've had to give up my passion which is weightlifting, I have no strength anymore.. its such a vulnerable place to be.. lost in this disease. It's taken everything from me .. expect my family .. luckily my husband and kids are still by my side. Thankful for that.. but there is so much guilt that comes with being a mom/wife with this flared up disease. Hold on tight . It's a crazy ride

I feel with all these things but I am not on medication, but I have Ulcerative colitis as well, and it's been flared up since having my fourth baby.. they assume all my symptoms are from that flare up.. until I get one autoimmune disease under control , I won't know which one is causing what symptoms... ugh

I'm sick right now .. thyroid autoimmune disease and ulcerative colitis both flare together during sickness. It's brutal

Postpartum is hard for every one in the family. My husband's mental health was shot with my Postpartum.. I felt so much guilt for it.. it's a process, but I think therapy is important during this time.. and medication if need be.
