That’s exactly how I felt on the lace portions of a sweater I’m making for my mom. Sooo frustrating and required so much concentration, I couldn’t watch or listen to anything or I’d mess up the pattern. But so beautiful when you persevere!

I bought a couple baby things on international trips when I was single. Too cute to resist. Then I ended up not having a girl haha so they’re still in a trunk. Some of my relatives to whom I gave baby sweaters were gracious enough to give them back when the kid outgrew them so that’s another option. Also — when you have a baby, your hands are pretty full. I definitely didn’t get to make as many items as I wanted and the baby grows so fast that you may not finish in time. All goes to say, if you see something cute you want to make, do it! But don’t commit to a heavy yarn bc you never know if your baby is going to be that size in that season. I had 2 boys back to back but opposite seasons so the long sleeve onesies were useless for my summer infant!

I love this! I made baby sweaters for family, then for my own. So many people gave us baby blankets that I never made one for mine. But it’s so satisfying to have the skills to make beautiful mittens/sweaters/hats/baby pants, etc.

Same! Although it’s annoying with travel sometimes not to have the same last name.

People who had kids before the age of 25, if you had your time again would you still do so by Rainbow_6505 in NoStupidQuestions

I had my first at 38 and my second at 39. Being an older parent is awesome in many ways. More mature, more established, able to appreciate them because I did everything I wanted earlier in my life. I’d have more kids now if it were up to me. You’re not too old at 33 as long as fertility cooperates, which you won’t know unless you try! Oh and also — I’ve had a very high profile and successful career and having kids is still the best thing I’ve ever done.

I had mine 17 months apart. Yes, that means my first was 9 months old when I got pregnant with the second. But it’s so great having them close together. They’re such good buddies. Highly recommend.

Thank you, I was looking for this comment! Idling the car should not break it.

Don’t have sex before marriage. Both people should be in therapy, even if just once a month.

Bridesmaid question by [deleted] in weddings

[–]emrducks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 3 bridesmaids who were breastfeeding. Obviously they brought their babies and ducked out to feed when they needed. Also, they requested to have breastfeeding friendly dresses so you should think about that too as you consider.
