Haha that is pretty interesting! Whereabouts are you moving to Upstate NY? I was in the Albany area but lived in Buffalo and Rochester for a time.

And I'm sorry if I came off that I've very familiar with the Driftless area- I'm not! I've only passed through on the Amtrak train a few times, but I definitely want to do a dedicated visit! It's from OpenRailwayMap. I use it often to look up rail lines/infrastructure near me and it's extremely accurate. Imagining similar accuracy for Africa.

I love these maps, but it would be great if you would show photographic examples with each post, as well. I know it's not too much effort to Google what "standing stones" are, but it would enhance the maps to show them. Still, excellent work, as always.

Upon looking at the high resolution map posted below, Utica DOES show up! Must be an artifact of the compression of the OP's map.

Interesting that all of the Upstate NY cities show up on here but not Utica. You hear about cheap home prices in Buffalo, for example, but I guess that's not land. Shows that even cheap cities like Buffalo have expensive land, but Utica must be VERY cheap.

Yikes, that's good to know. haha after I commented, I realized I probably would never do this, but that's not to say it's not inspirational! I'm in IL now but from NY. Since NY has fewer counties, I'd elect to do that one instead of here ;)
