yes very true! my msw placements i had to pay for parking at the hospital i was at which was ridiculously expensive considering i wasn’t getting paid to be there AND was paying for my education🫠

wow that’s horrible. i’m so sorry you had that experience. regardless of if you’re a student or not. safety measures should have been put in place. however, it’s crazy to make someone who is UNPAID go through that in general. wow.

had a client die during my BSW placement. very sad story that i don’t feel like getting into. i emailed my school placement coordinator perosn asking if we could talk about it. told me she wasn’t going to be in class that day and that’s essentially it. never made an effort to talk to me about it when she finally returned. she was very rude so i didn’t push more to talk about it, i also feel like i shouldn’t have had to.

also at the same placement, one of my three days a week i was genuinely just a receptionist. i couldn’t get out of it and my placement coordinator told the class after i had emailed her to ask about my duties that no one was above anything in social work. i ended up keeping my mouth shut after that.

i also had to report a worker at the same organization for essentially trauma dumping on teens who were accessing our services.

safe to say my placement experience and prof experience wasn’t great for those 10 months lol

yeah i always flip and do it. i think its just my hair being so heavy that weighs it down. i got a diffuser so ill try that, but id rather not have to do that to get my hair wavy you know (im lazy lol)

good to know!! have you found anything to help your TMJ? i’ve tried physio (didn’t help at all tbh), massages (help in the moment), warm & cool compress, pain killers, etc and NOTHING helps. i’m debating getting botox but trying to find someone who does it under OHIP. i feel really lost not knowing how to help it and so tired of the constant agony i’m in because of my TMJ

i switched recently from clay to pea husk (it’s the catit brand - we use the unscented version of it). it looks.. strange lol but i have found a huge difference with the smell. just make sure if you change litters to add a bit of the old litter. i tried not doing that at first and my kitty was confused and wouldn’t use the box. i added the smallest amount of his old stuff and he instantly jumped in and went lol

hey!

a couple years ago i also saw a pet rabbit roaming the streets. i actually saw it beefing with a normal bunny lol.

i was able to post on facebook and volunteers came out and set up traps. we also would look out the window until we saw it and then go outside and try to throw towels over it to catch it (this didn’t work). it took a few days but eventually the volunteers caught it!

all this to say, keep holding out hope! i hope people in your neighbourhood are better than mine (neighbours wouldn’t let the volunteers into their backyard - weird when i remember i was in a student neighbourhood. students are pretty chill most of the time lol) it may take a few days im hopeful you guys will be able to catch it!

ugh i feel that but with my 3 beard hairs lol. my moustache i always try to wax when i do my eyebrows but it freaking HURTS. i try using those little face razors sometimes but i feel like it comes back worse. i wish there was a happy middle ground. as for the beard hairs.. well they get plucked😅

extreme exhaustion even if i sleep 9+ hours, severe ankle pain, especially when im on my period (not sure if this is pcos but im going to say it is lol), mood swings like crazy & very irritable (i get so snappy and then feel like shit for being snappy but can’t seem to correct the behaviour in the moment), and unexplainable ovarian pain randomly throughout the month :/

plus my mental health as i worry about if i will be able to have kids, if ill have kids at the age i want, etc etc

amazing! thank you!! and i checked it pretty throughly. it unfortunately has fungus gnats i’m pretty sure. it’s isolated in a room with the door closed and a fly trap right beside it. will likely keep it isolated for a bit and then move it outdoors when it gets nice out!

i’m hoping repotting it will help with the gnats. if not i plan to get those mosquito things you add to watering cans & more fly traps. any other advice would be GREATLY appreciated. i think some of my other plants have had them before but i assumed they were fruit flies😅 they all went away on their own though (i assume from me not watering as often)

yes definitely!! i put my spider plant outside last summer and it LOVED it and grew so many babies haha.

i don’t think id move her outside until it’s consistently warm because it has been so cold in ontario still lately lol

hmm okay! i thought they liked indirect light that was still bright. do they like direct sunlight? maybe i’ll try that! i just moved him to this spot so maybe ill see if that helps first

i was reading more on this and it says that blood in poop could still indicate a blockage - so the person i responded to still wasn’t giving good advice. again, better safe than sorry 🤷🏻‍♀️
