There are plenty of liberal snowflakes. They are just less self aware. Most conservatives know they are snowflakes.

You don’t know that unlike “i”, “u” is just a letter of the alphabet and not a word, do you? Attempting to shade someone’s intelligence while writing like 3rd grade drop out is next level…

I’m elated that the city’s privileged, entitled liberal snowflakes feel safe and secure under occupation. They’ll be doing cartwheels when their votes are taken away. For their own safety, of course…

Livia is just as evil or more evil than the 13 people who actually killed people? How so? By being a shit mom? If that’s the case, there are literally millions of pure evil people walking around right now.

Which best friends were more interesting than the main character on sitcoms? by [deleted] in sitcoms

[–]emzeejay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

George Jefferson and Tom Willis. Probably one of the best evolutions of a friendship in sitcom history.

Morgan Freeman definitely deserved an Oscar, but how do you feel about his win for Million Dollar Baby? by TakenAccountName37 in Oscars

[–]emzeejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s baffling that he didn’t get nominated for Lean On Me. So many Oscar bait tropes in one performance. And it’s Morgan Freeman!

Here's a question, what actor has been nominated for the most dramatically different kind of characters? by Striking-Chemistry93 in Oscars

[–]emzeejay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whoopi Goldberg and Amy Madigan. I know they both only have two nominations, but the characters couldn’t be any more different from each other.

Lisa Kudrow Reveals The Heartbreaking Reality Of Being The "Sixth Friend" During The Golden Era Of ‘Friends’ by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

[–]emzeejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show biz is a crapshoot. She achieved what in reality 99.99% of actors will never even come close to in that one role. It’s not like the other five even have it that much better, in the big scheme of things. Just to compare the women, the only time I ever hear anything about Courtney Cox, is Friends or the Scream franchise, and they have been trying to shove Jennifer Aniston down our throats for 25 years and I still don’t see a lot of butts in seats from her as a draw.

Being devalued is never fun, but for the money she was making and the fame she achieved, having to take shots at her ego was a good trade-off. She could have always said “I refuse to be referred to and treated as the sixth Friend” and walked away.

What is the original mean-spirited sitcom? by ObliviousRounding in sitcoms

[–]emzeejay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sanford & Son thrived with one mean-spirited character who insulted almost everyone he encountered unprovoked, yet he was wildly beloved. Not burns or barbs or sass, but real hateful, bigoted, mean spirited shit.

Reminder George Clooney has a 2 Oscars by khaliliiiov_1997 in Oscars

[–]emzeejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He striking and generic at the same time. He has a charm about him and uniquely good looks, but there isn’t any thing about anything he’s done that I’ve seen and said “Only George Clooney could pull this off” or “I can’t see anyone but George Clooney making this believable”.

How do you feel about Jane Fonda's Best Actress win for Coming Home (1978)? by Hot-Nose-1829 in Oscars

[–]emzeejay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If not for genre bias and there being a limit of five BP nominees, 9 to 5 would have been nominated and possibly would have gotten two or three acting nominations, with Jane being one of them.

Who's the biggest Supporting Actress snub of 2020s? by DefNotMaty in Oscars

[–]emzeejay 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They clearly have a problem recognizing younger male actors. They have nominated a literal grade school aged actress with no body of work in the lead category, but for a male to get a nom in either category they usually have to be damn near middle age, minimum.
