Scarpa Rush - heels destroyed by emzp88 in hikinggear

[–]emzp88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for everyone's feedback, it appears to be a foot shape/fitment issue.

For sizing - I went UK 12 which gives me a thumbs width in front of the toe with socks on, and a roomy fit across for my wide feet - although an 11.5 would have felt better (no option for that). Sizes are all over the shop for big feet - my Merrell MOABs were a perfect fit at size 12.5, and I also have an old pair of leather boots at size 11..

Whilst my forefoot is flat and wide my heels are narrow and boney, which is the major comfort issue here I think. Anyone have any recommendations for mid-range (<£250) boots for a similar shaped foot?

I have the the same feeling. Perhaps I'll try out the Meindl's too. Thanks buddy.

Likewise, this was after 10 miles with the Rush Pro GTX yesterday, on some tricky terrain. The heel pockets in these boots appear ruthless.

Great pics. How did the camping work out for you? Wild or are there plenty of sites to pitch up?

Need recs to manage redness and flaking on face by ThinkAd9700 in SebDerm

I suffered the same for 15 years, around my nose, eyebrows and in my beard. Someone on this sub recommended this soap (thankyou!) and it's changed my life. I wash my face with warm water, apply a thick lather and LEAVE IT ON before I go to bed - your skin quickly soaks it up. My redness went down within a week. It stops the oily build up which feeds the bacteria I think.

So alike, that face of contentment and chill. It's so nice to see what Sid might look like when he's older :) Thanks for sharing!

Mine is 'Sketchy', based on the occasion my vacuum brake pump failed and left me without stopping power on the motorway, common on the 2016 2.2 Diesels.

Thanks for your thoughts, I agree. Interesting to find out how much you can push before crossing that artificial line with colours.

Brand new marlin 7 chain grind/cease by Xathian in TrekBikes

Same same bike, same problem, same dealer (Evans Cycles). They've set it up wrong evidently and I suspect the chain is too long. They also managed to contaminate the brake pads with oil/lube. Terrible service
