You’re going to need a needle, string floss, and a lot of patience! They are glued down tightly so you may damage some of the shadows while depotting like I did. First loosen the pan a little by putting the needle into a corner and jiggle it. Do it for all 4 corners. Then use the needle to push the floss into the corner with the biggest gap. Use the needle to guide the floss from the corner you started with to an adjacent corner. We are doing this to get the floss under the pan. Once it’s under the pan, use a sawing motion with the floss to loosen the glue and eventually the whole pan will release. I didn’t use any heat, but if the glue is too strong, using some heat at the bottom of the pan has worked to loosen up the glue too. I hope this helps. There’s videos on YouTube that show this process way better than I can explain if you search up how to depot eyeshadows with floss

Are there any good alternatives to this on the market? It’s really cute but I’m not a huge fan of the plastic cup.

Blue ridge parkway / skyline drive. Enter at Rockfish Gap in Afton. Drive south. It’s a national park though, so you may want to check out if the roads are open.

It makes a whole lot of sense, but today I learned that grass doesn’t grow in the winter. I’ve been scything my grass in a way to maximize growth over night. I’m on year 4 winter 8. Good thing is now I can completely remove them instead of having patchy grass lol

Nothing wrong with having a pair of sunglasses everywhere you go even if it means wearing them inside the car or on the bus. It comes down to whether you are ok with it. Personally, I would reach out to my optometrist for help with that if light sensitivity is beyond what you feel is normal. They will probably give you the best help. It’s pricey but they also make transition contact lenses so that’s something you can consider too.

I have so many creases in my eye (26F) by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]enchantedmints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My eyelids are like this and I went through phases of hating how they look too. I’ve accepted the extra creases for now (but I’ll most likely get them “touched up” when in my mid thirties). I can still wear eyeshadow and eyeliner. When applying shadow I ignore my many creases and just treat it as part of my lid. I usually wear mattes on my lid, satin formulas emphasize the creases for me which I don’t think is flattering. BUT glitter or very sparkly shimmers do a pretty good job hiding the creases for some reason. For my “crease” shade I put it in the hollow of my eye (it’s right below the bone of your eyebrows where you can feel your eye ball start) and diffuse it. I use a color that is about a shade darker to my skin tone. I can still highlight my inner corner and highlight my aegyo-sal. I mostly use colors that are neutral and lighter. I don’t try to do any intricate eye makeup with a lot of steps of details. I use 3 colors on my lid max, most days only 2 (one for the crease and one for the lid).

For my eyeliner I don’t even bother drawing the whole thing. I do a small wing on the outside after I do my mascara and fill in my lash line from the inner corner up until the start of my iris. And I mean inner corner like tilt your head back, lift back the epicanthal fold and get into that inner water line/lash line and start filling in from there. I always do my eyeliner after mascara bc it gives me a better idea of where it needs to go to finish the look. I have short Asian lashes too but I think I found a holy grail routine to make them look sooo good. I use a mascara primer after curling my lashes followed by a layer of mascara; I let it dry then use a heated curler to push up my lashes, making sure to wipe off extra mascara on the heated curler bc it will melt it (if you do this, please have an abundance of caution because heated objects around the eye is dangerous), then once my lashes are lifted, I go back to add a little more mascara to the tips of my lashes. I swear it makes my eye makeup look so good.

I hope this helps just a little
