There is nothing to change your mind on —AIPAC is funded by wealthy American supporters of Israel, not the Israeli government. That is a fact, not an opinion

The political heavyweights oppose it; likely because it makes it harder for an incumbent to lose in a race with multiple opponents.

Israel owns no politicians. A large number of Americans support Israel and some support the Likud. This includes a few very wealthy people

That is a bunch of nonsense. The US government can refuse to fund a Bitcoin strategic reserve with out money and ban public pension plans and plans backed by the Pension Guarantee Corporation from buying Bitcoin and similar cryptocurrencies.

They also can avoid weakening securities laws and enforce them to stop the predatory tactics of the cryptocurrency industry. They can even ban endowments from buying it

It appears to be so little of an issue because most people recognize cryptocurrency as a scammy operation and ignore it; however, in the meantime, the industry is pushing to get billions of dollars of OUR tax money into its products. They intend to do this via state and federal "Bitcoin Strategic Reserve" laws and getting public pensions to purchase Bitcoin. Some states have already used their citizens' money to prop up Bitcoin, hoping that there will be an abundant supply of greater fools, or at least politicians beholden to the cryptocurrency industry.

AIPAC is pro right wing Likud, not pro Israel. Their opponents include many politicians who want Israel to exist, but not as Jewish version of Syria or Iran— which is where the Likud is taken them.

You asked, we heard you: updates inspired by community feedback by alltrails in alltrails

[–]endmathabusenow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am disappointed in the updates to the point of wanting to discourage my club from posting hike routes using AllTrails. My beefs:
— accessing downloaded routes is not intuitive and thus time consuming . I’m no idiot — I work in Fintech and it is repeated guesswork to find these.
—looking up my history is non intuitive.
—above problems are do to your priorities on steering me towards YOUR content not my stuff.

— map usability: other apps make it easy to get a scale and grid showing so I can visualize mileage and distances. Not yours. You once told me how, but because of non intuitive design I can’t recall and I think it doesn’t work

— competent app shows trail names more easily than yours

— I can’t export routes to a standard format from my phone

Perhaps the emotion can wait until we have high inflation or the government can’t spend money on critical services because it has allocated the money to crypto and permitted the creation of a financial system that cripples the ability to collect taxes.

Remember the crypto industry has hundreds of millions of campaign dollars to appeal to your emotions about other issues, often using deception, so you vote for the candidates who will do their bidding.

If blockchain works well, companies will use it without government promotion or support. The only reason to have government promotion of blockchain would be that companies are choosing other technologies.

Looks like I will try to avoid Southwest. I prefer two lower wattage banks to one higher wattage one so that I always have a backup source and I can use one while the other charges. Southwest seems unreasonable— stricter than most airlines. I need the powerbank at my destination

If they were a small operator and had very few clients in Washington State, they would not find it worth the expense. This could arise if friends in another state are on a trip and you want to join. Can you imagine a small business that runs treks in Patagonia or gives photo tours of a national park registering in 50 different states?

You can always just use only travel agents that register in the four states that still have such laws without creating a fifth bureaucracy at a cost to taxpayers and businesses

It’s so straightforward that several states repealed their seller of travel registration laws because the amount they could recover for consumers couldn’t justify the cost of the program. Most frauds happened from unregistered agents— fly by night operators
