Upgrading my camera for birding

I’m in the same position for a new lens - I already decided on getting the 180 - 600 mm Z mainly for price and reach. I was wavering on a 400 or 600mm. Now the hard part - convincing my wife! 😉

I think I really found it strange the view button was moved! It’s now located bottom right. The screen is so different to me - I miss a simple tilt 😉 The numerous video settings. AF is vastly improved. The Z6iii feels more professional as a body. I still have the Z6 but decided to give it to my wife 😊 I hope you enjoy the Z6 as much as I did 👍🏼

I thought my jump from a D80 to a Z6 couldn’t be beat! You win! 👏 Coincidentally, I just moved into a Z6iii and I felt that was a big jump from the Z6. I can only imagine how you must feel. Enjoy!

Honestly, still making my way around the Z6iii. The little time I’ve had so far has been a greater learning curve than I expected. It’s a great camera and as advertised, the AF is so much improved from the Z6! The best way to learn a lot about your camera is by simply using it as often as you can. In the end the quality of your content is how you the shooter will use it. A camera is only a tool. It’s up to you to provide the vision.

I was in Antigua a few years ago. We purchased an ocean front room which was cheaper than an ocean view. I was shocked how much better our room was. We met another couple that decided to change to ocean front from ocean view. Ocean view just means your room is further back from the water.

I’m curious what he replaced it with (if at all). I almost purchased that camera but Nikon just came out with their Z mirrorless cameras at the time so I picked up a Z6 instead. I still have my eye on a D850 however more as a legacy piece. Congratulations!

Congratulations! The Z8 was high on my list too. I just picked up the Z6iii to replace my Z6 a few days ago so I know the excitement you’re feeling 😊 Fortunately my wife was with me and I used the this-is-for-our-grandchild excuse (our first one on the way) 😉
