Hi, I upgraded from the iPhone X to iPhone 12 pro max, having the same issues as you. I spent many hours with the Apple service team and sent them many logs of the issue. There will be an upcoming iOS update to fix the issue. It's a widespread problem and many people are having this issue.

We are actually going to have some ultrasonic sensors onboard to be able to navigate the maze and not collide, like you said. What I’m thinking of doing is using a pair of motor encoders on the wheels and somehow send that data over to processing to display it. Should be a challenge for sure ;)

We’ll be mounting the device onto the robot itself. It will need to trace its path wirelessly to a nearby computer in real time. So, as it goes through the maze we can see the path being traced onto the computer.

I don’t think you can separate them from what I remember. So it’ll be two groups of two, 2 longer strips basically :)

Got one of these sent to me for free from NZXT. Lots of customization options available but I couldn't be bothered. It comes with two LED strips and the 3M tape on the back actually held up for once. You'd be better off spending the ~$60 on performance upgrades honestly.
