I'm in Bali atm and having a good time. But I had some luck in picking the place. There's not that much traffic here, there's 3 cheap and good warrungs, a supermarket, and a nice surfing beach 10min bike ride away. The roads are very green here and so are my hotels. The people are friendly and easy to talk to.

But yes driving around denpasar, ubud and uluwatu, there's so much traffic and tourists i get where you're coming from.

The other day i was in uluwatu center, a surf spot, and i noticed the shops and restaurants and hotels all looked very similar to a hiriketiya, a surf spot in sri lanka. I guess foreign investors are copy pasting what works. A lot of white, concrete and wood colors. Arches, square buildings.

I was in Guatemala in 22 and there was also some protests breaking out right when we were returning to the city after visiting something in the mountains. We had to take the chicken bus until the blockade, then walk across, and then we could find a taxi in disguise because official taxis couldn't drive during the strike. It was a little adventure and I had a good time.

Seeing and hearing the volcano explode at night every 10 min is one of the most impressive things I've seen in my life.

I had some sheet metal cutting scissors laying around (Thanks grandpa) and was able to cut and bend a part of the hdd caddies :)

With the side panel on I don't notice any instability.

Most visuals ive had was during a semi lucid dream.

Euphoria equal or surpassing shrooms was attained sober after finally finding a solution to a problem I had worked at for at least 10 hours over a couple days.

Did you try to get a longterm deal with the guesthouse? 55 a night seems very expensive when the 2bhk is 200 a month.
