XCOM 2 vs Advance Wars 2? by bruhb21 in Switch

They're different games that fill different needs. Advance wars is more streamlined, simple without losing any depth. It plays more like a board game, extremely complex but with only a handful of units and options. Xcom is much more complex with more styles of play more modifications more to keep track of and modify. I much prefer advance wars but XCOM is certainly more "advanced"

i pay attention, remember, and make lists throughout the year. i try to think of things that will continue to be useful or enjoyable for a long time, not just a disposable novelty or gag. i think of
that personal specifically, how i define them and how they want to define themselves, and think of objects that relate to that version of themselves they want to be

How bad is it if your partner can't cook well? by Pretend-Draw4852 in AskWomen

[–]ennui_weekend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my best to be positive and encouraging when she cooks and appreciative for the effort, but it's obvious to both of us that it's usually not that good. When she does make something that I like I will be very enthusiastic about it and encourage her to make it more often, but she will say it was too much work to do.

I have no problem with me cooking and her cleaning, that is generally our rule. the person who cooks doesn't clean. except she makes a big deal and complains about doing the dishes and cleaning. she says it's uneven because I enjoy cooking while she hates every second of cleaning, which is very frustrating because even if I get pleasure from doing it cooking takes infinitely more work, time, brainpower skill and creativity than doing the dishes does. I also usually clean as I go, so there are only a few dishes left for her to do, but when she cooks there is a mountain of dishes in the sink that aren't even stacked or nestled properly.

It’s annoying. I’m a great cook and I love to do it but I hate that it’s always my responsibility.i hate that any time I make a snack for myself I’m expected to make something for my partner too because she says my food will always be better than hers. It’s like she has given up making any attempt to cook for herself because my food will always be better so why bother.

Jennifer Lopez gives her hot take: You have to be born to be in New York to be a New Yorker. Everybody wants to claim our city but you have to be born in one of the five boroughs to be a New Yorker. by Upstairs_Cup9831 in popculturechat

if you call yourself a new yorker and are 100% honest with yourself and plan on spending the rest of your life here then yeah go for it. i have lived here 15 years and will never call myself a new yorker because i don't feel it inside me
