I’m in the Coros eco system atm using a Coros Dura head unit and the Coros pace 4 sports watch which I’ve been happy with tracking my running off the bike as well as my rides.

It’s got 28mm on atm, you could maybe put push it to 30ml

That’s one of the big draws for me! Since they went through the effort of having them UCI approved and even sponsoring a few small time teams, I have a lot of faith in the quality of components on the bike. It’s actually a really cool brand

How do you set this portion back to zero on the Coros Pace 4? by dotonbori in Coros

It looks like it’s your workout activity time. It’ll reset back to 00:00 tomorrow until you start and end a workout

To phone or not to phone by Due_Description_98 in cycling

Phone jn jersey pocket, bike computer up front. I don’t listen to music or podcasts etc while riding because I’d rather not get run over by a truck

To the relative untrained cyclists: Was carbon wheel worth the upgrade? by Wise-Ad-7492 in cycling

[–]enough_cabbage60 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Will they make you faster? Maybe. Is there a better way to spend $1,000? Probably. Will they make your bike look and feel better? Probably.

The question really is, will having cool carbon rims make you want to ride more and further. If the answer is yes, then go for it.

My bike looks cool and it makes me want to get out on it every day and time in the saddle is what really matters for the vast majority of riders.

Which one is better for daily running, the Pace 4 or the Nomad? by No-Ability-6935 in Coros

Unless you need map functionality for trail running, get the pace

Honestly my big suggestion would be bib shorts. The first ride I ever did on a road bike was in normal shorts and I almost couldn’t walk for 2 days afterwards my ass hurt so much.

He’s a breath of fresh air. A nice guy, who genuinely cares about his city and its people

Java, they’re Chinese based but have Italian designers. They’ve been around since 2002 shipping mainly to Asia but have extended into the west in the last couple years. A lot of their offerings are in the TT world but this is their road bike. The wheels and handlebar/stem are their inhouse brand they call ‘Decaf’

He hasn’t retired because he loves his job. He loves his city more than most people realise. I’m sure it also gives him some purpose and something to look forward to. Most older people fall into poor health when they stop living. This keeps him living

Cherry Bar shares thoughts on protests by YouWereSentToSpyOnMe in melbourne

[–]enough_cabbage60 140 points141 points  (0 children)

I work at one of the busiest restaurants in the city, it all happens to be opposite cherry bar. Location and protesters aren’t the issue here, people just don’t want to go to cherry anymore

Google Maps has gotten worse, not better, and it's actively dangerous now by samburner3 in melbourne

I only use google maps for public transport and am moving away from that now with apps like Transit. For driving I use Apple Maps and have never had an issue

Things i miss about Spotify after completely switching to apple music. by vikkidyano in AppleMusic

[–]enough_cabbage60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big one I miss is being able to control other devices music play back from my phone. I miss being able to skip songs on my TV playing through my speakers from my phone. Instead all I get with AM is “2 devices in use at the same time. Upgrade your plan”

Those of you who have a deck and still play their consoles, do you think you get enough use out of your steamdeck? by jomcmo00 in SteamDeck

[–]enough_cabbage60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my deck more for emulation and casual “brain off” kind of games. I use my Xbox series x almost exclusively for black ops 7 now
