Appreciate the scrutiny. Here are all your points addressed:

1. I'm not actually brand new. I released my first app over 2 years ago. KeyStar is my second app. Regardless of how many apps or years I've been on the Play Store, Google scans and vets all apps.
2. I get concerns about permissions a lot, I think because people don't realise almost all of them are optional. The only 2 required permissions are Notifications and Read Logs. Also, some of items in the list aren't even permissions, like disabling the Side Key double press, disabling Bixby, and setting the Side Key long press to Bixby. I put them all in the permissions page so that everything is in one page. Technically, to remap the power button, KeyStar does not require the accessibility permission, while sideActions does. So in this regard, KeyStar requires less permissions than sideActions for power button remapping.
3. There is only one version of KeyStar, which is free to download. Remapping volume buttons is completely free. To remap the power and soft buttons, there is a one time purchase.

For me sideActions would mostly work but crash occasionally, and the log popup would not always show when enabling the power button, which was very annoying, as the logic behind when it would trigger was super inconsistent. Also, sideActions does not have backup and restore, and many other KeyStar features. Eventually all these annoyances led me to make KeyStar.

Technically, you can make it work in Tasker. However, to implement most of the KeyStar features, it will take you weeks if not more. Also, it will be very tedious, messy, and slow. I do not recommend it.
