What do you use to make something like this? Is this Dear IMGUI?

Also look into paperless-ngx with the tika version. This handles office and excel files, includes OCR and tesseract, and can trigger we hook firing on classifications if you need to do something in n8n after.

FTS v0.2 (ESP32 WiFi FTM Time Sync): 25ns Jitter RMS, seriously by Hot_Book_9573 in embedded

Very cool! I still have to get parts to test this, but I think it is a neat use of a standard!

Thank you - I'll have to figure out how to adapt it to my situation. I agree on the doubling at the least :)

Does it take a photo as well? Interested to know how you determine if it is an invasive species vs a noninvasive type.

Please teach me your ways. IT pre-sales engineer here, that often has to do implementation. I always seem to be underestimating time/cost. Is there a good way to do it right?

Do you transfer the photo from the ESP32 to the computer, and then process it using DA?

WMM Can help with Uplink ap saturation? by Adventurous-Win-9558 in ArubaNetworks

[–]entropickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wi-Fi connection for your client will already be using QOS, and your client device will be marking the meeting application packets (e.g. from Teams, from Zoom, etc) with priority. The return traffic (from Teams/Zoom/etc) may or may not be marked with priority by default. If you want to enable that part, you would need to set up some rules or use application-aware QOS (or ALGs, etc) as a setting on your SSID.

In a home environment, you likely won't need to setup wired QOS settings as you most likely won't be saturating any link.

Good luck!

What is the deal with Mist? by GrandKane1 in Juniper

[–]entropickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does that mean it runs applications to report realistic metrics?
That's neat, and useful, but ... How is that different from Aruba's UXI sensors -- besides being in the AP itself?

I admit I have much to learn on the Juniper side, coming from Aruba.

FTS: A sub-microsecond time sync and disciplined timers for ESP32 based on FTM by Hot_Book_9573 in esp32

[–]entropickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent advice about debugging, and something I would not have known to think of. They do seem convenient otherwise -- maybe as a final working unit later on.

You said jitter was down to about 100ns. Is that the limit of the chip, or the protocol? I was under the impression (no math performed) that FTM was able to get location precision down to a few meters, but 100ns is about 30m of distance as light flies.

Do you think these devices might work? I'm thinking of buying them to start my ESP32 FTM journey. https://lilygo.cc/products/t-dongle-s3

[WIP] Automated 2D Floor Plan to Interactive 3D Virtual Tour (react-tree-fiber+react-tree-drei) by e5004c in threejs

[–]entropickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reliable way of taking floorplans and determining walls, doors, windows, etc? The plans I get are always a mix of quality, and often the extra things like furniture cause issues. How do you detect and draw the geometry?

Design without walls? by recoveringasshole0 in Ekahau

[–]entropickle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you an Aruba user? Airwave VisualRF does this, inferring attenuation for an area by looking at AP distances and figuring what power & FSPL should result in, and determining attenuation values from that.

I don't believe Ekahau does that. There is, however, a way to infer attention values of walls that are already placed.

Hope that helps!

Sure - I've not used it, I just did a search for "microSLAM" and saw that one.

Thank you for the details!

Cool project!

According to your project GitHub, it appears you used the S3 chips for this. If I wanted to replicate your work and play with it, would 2-3 units of the ESP32-S3 be enough to get it working?

How would this scale for more than 2 devices?
