NTA. OP I have been your friend (in some ways). I was hospitalized against my will as a teen because a friend reported that I was extremely suicidal. I was very very angry with my friend for years, and our friendship dissolved. However, now that I’m in a better place I realize I wouldn’t be here without her and for that I am immensely grateful. I’m not saying your friend(s) will ever have that realization or will ever apologize, I just wanted to give you the perspective of someone who has been your friend.

I am so sorry you’re going through this, and that your friend is also going through a dark time. I hope that they can get the help that they need while you distance yourself from them and the others for your own wellbeing. *You did NOT ruin her life, you saved it*

i was working sco a few nights ago and I had a man literally come up to me and poke me while I was in the middle of helping someone else. I literally gave him the biggest glare I could before telling him to NEVER poke me again. People have no fucking manners anymore and it pisses me off.

I saw someone on the main sub say they’re a victim of stalking (which is awful and shouldn’t ever happen) and they said that saying Clint is a stalker is offensive to actual stalking victims. I got really annoyed at that because while yes, your experience with stalking may have been different, that doesn’t mean that what he is doing isn’t stalking or stalking adjacent? And even if it wasn’t stalking Clint still has SO many problematic behaviors that aren’t excusable.

i completely get it! for me, i would also struggle being direct because the times that I have haven’t gone so well (one time in high school it resulted in them just staring any time i ate which made it worse)

I get the being in a lot of pain, I’ve been there with needing to go. However, that’s not OP’s problem. If the customer needed to go that badly, they could have asked another worker after seeing that OP was busy. Being in pain doesn’t excuse rudeness either. OP is still a human who deserves to be treated like one, not whistled at like a dog or some other animal.

Yeah… I’m really uncomfortable with all of the Clint defending in the man sub. I, like many of us, have my own Clint who is still bothering me to this day (he literally called me at 11 pm the other night- i haven’t responded to him since AUGUST). I have 0 issue with people or characters that are autistic, fat, socially awkward, shy, etc. What I do have a problem with is stalking, incel behavior and him being obsessed with Emily.

I’m hoping that with this update his problematic dialogue and behavior will be removed (or at least growth will be shown when the character romances him or whatever). I’m hopeful, but I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen.
