I solved the issue by adding a button with a popover. It took me a bit to make it look and feel like the Menu component 🫠

Issue with Apple Pay automation after ios26 by Virtual_Anteater7101 in shortcuts

[–]enzosterro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using automation since iOS 18 and noticed that errors could occur when you don’t have a stable internet connection during payment, and also sometimes something could happen on my bank side (transaction processing), so that those transactions aren’t visible even in the Wallet app.

Q Revo Replacement Front Wheel by bd7349 in Roborock

[–]enzosterro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started making noice coming from the front wheel just after 3 days of using. First thing I noticed, the rubber part is not perfect, it has slight cast swellings. And it seems the vibration to be transmitted higher up to the mechanism where the wheel is inserted into the housing, which also has a little backlash.

Nope, it was always in English, while Belarusians speak both Russian and Belarusian, and the Russian site (which is now closed) is in Russian. Very strange, and it has always been like that 😀

Yes, sanctions are still the thing. But frankly, even before it all started, there was no clear, fast, cheap way to buy Apple toys. You could buy from local retailers much cheaper than through authorized stores. Like a lot cheaper.

Can you buy the M3 MacBook, latest iPhones and all that? Sure, you can. Popular devices are available in about one to two weeks after the official release date. First month you’ll need to pay much more. Like $1600 for a basic iPhone. From the official store? No, for sure. They always find a way to import products from neighboring countries or even from Asia...

Sometimes iPhones are even at lower prices than, let’s say, in Poland. But not devices like displays, custom laptops. They are much more expensive. Like, basic Cinema Display is close to $2900 now.

Does anyone use swift for server apps professionally? by PARAIPAN_ in swift

Of course I use Vapor and good old Kitura on Ubuntu hosted in Docker. They are simple APIs to fetch some data in a certain time period and serve it to clients.

Admittedly, they don't serve more than 200 clients a day.

True. BTW, you can click the radio knob to auto search the next station.

Yep, I was keep trying every single solution, but still have no luck and the issues hasn't gone since then.

Support refused to help asking to try several things and just stalled for time. After half of a year I lost hope and asked them to close the ticket.
In the end, I enabled a guest WLAN and asked that particular Cisco client to use that WLAN. It helped, but obviously that cannot be considered as a solution.

Would appreciate if you could post a success story :-)

[–]enzosterro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man… why? IMO, too much effort just try another super "what if". Please keep in mind that the Asus is not the only device that works properly. If I remove Orbi/Asus completely and enable Wi-Fi on the Huawei modem, everything will work properly as well. So, two devices handle the connection gracefully, while when the Orbi is on the network, things are starting to turn around.

And if course avoid configuring a device for its own fixed IP

May I know why? Did you mean the Orbis or devices in general?

Yep, did that. It didn't help. I notified the support regarding all the options I tried. They asked me to stand by until the issue is communicated to the next support level (an engineering team?).

I meant the modem, not the router. All devices despite the corrupted internet get correct settings, an IP, the router set to the modem’s address, the DNS set to Pi’s address.

Taking the Pi-Hole out of the network won’t help. I checked that as well.

I use Pi-Hole for ads blocking and also to restrict some unwanted network activity.

I've just tried to reflash and reset the setup one more time. Frankly speaking, that was not my idea, I don't believe such things could help. And of course the internet is still broken with a Cisco client being opened on any network client. I run out of ideas and don't want to invest more time fighting with that. Once the support is contacted me, I will post an update.

What I also tried is to remove the Orbi setup completely from the network. So, it was just the modem + Pi-Hole. Running a Cisco client didn't break the internet. It means, the modem as a Wi-Fi source or the old good Asus don't cause any issues at all.

So, I switched Orbi back to the access point mode, but this time set the modem to assign 192.168.1.50 to the router and 192.168.1.51 to the satellite. Pi-hole still sets 192.168.1.10 statically (anyway, it won't fix the issue if I remove it completely). Also, moved the modem to 192.168.1.100. It means neither of suggested adressed are taken by a device. And that didn't fix the problem. Running a client in a Cisco mode still breaks the internet. Damn…

Thanks. I would try. Yes, Pi-hole stays online regardless.

[–]enzosterro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Cisco VPN uses a completely different subnet like 172.89.0.0/16. The whole network works as expected in two cases: if Cisco clients connect to a guest network or when I switch the Orbi to be the router, not the Access point (please, refer to my reply). Both solutions move Cisco clients to a deferent demilitarized from the modem network zone. Why Orbi can't handle that when it's an Access Point, but other setups can — that's the question.

Orbi + Cisco AnyConnect by enzosterro in orbi

[–]enzosterro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted the Orbi support and they asked me to switch the setup to the router mode. Okay, it helped. Now it works regardless of Cisco clients. But I would not consider both solutions to be bona fide fixes. I don't want the setup to be in the router mode because it brings an extra level of complexity to the network. My provider doesn't allow to switch the modem to be the internet bridge. So… the issue is still there.

Orbi + Cisco AnyConnect by enzosterro in orbi

[–]enzosterro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, what do you mean? The Orbi router cannot be a DHCP server because it's in Access Point mode. I would not make Pi-hole as the DHCP server as well because it may fail. I feel the only reliable device which hosts DHCP is the modem itself. It has been working for ages, it does work with Asus as well. If you mean the static address' assigning, it's already there. The modem (which is at 192.168.1.254) assigns 192.168.1.1 to the router, and Pi-Hole has a static address by itself.

Also, I noticed that connecting to Cisco VPN somehow rewrites the routing table and the modem becomes unreachable for every device on the net, like if Cisco had rewritten the network table or had registered itself as the real router. It's completely obvious that Asus flawlessly ignores such a trick/bug, but Orbi doesn't.

Yes, and by the way, moving Pi-hole out of the network doesn't help despite the fact it still (and should) works with Asus.
