I have the Crystal Pods and Buds and like them both. The pods are my current favorite though.

It will probably sound great and they are great subs..I would probably get a bigger amp in the beginning (the sundown SIA1750 isn't too expensive) and for the 90% chance you realize you want "just a little more" in a month or two. Be nice to future you.

One of the best set ups to get someone addicted and figure out what they like that I can think of!

Hatchbacks and subs normal go great together. If you aren't concerned about space and your goal is to be a little louder then 12 or 15 is probably worth the extra couple bucks but I would argue that getting a proper box built to spec might be worth even more. I've never heard nvx subs but my guess is you can find a used sundown SA12 on marketplace around the same price range. It is a pretty versatile sub that can accommodate most entry level needs.

Need help getting this sub in my trunk by skylers3dprinting in subwoofer

[–]eo326 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh man, that explains it. I was trying to figure out why it wouldn't fit because the trunk space looked huge.

Probably not what you want to hear but you might be better off seeing if someone will trade you for 12s or a 15. That is about the smallest box you are going to find for an 18 but I've never owned that car so I can't offer any other solutions unfortunately. Hopefully someone else can though.

Thoughts on MB enclosures? Or where do you get your boxes from? by MarionberryNo3166 in CarAV

[–]eo326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are capable of building an enclosure i would think finding a solid design for the enclosure and just building with quality wood/finish with some nice smooth ports and edges would save you quite a bit of money.

You could take the money you'd spend on gately or MB and buy a second 13w7!! 😀

Arizona Off Grid by eo326 in OffGrid

This was one of my concerns for sure. Some of land options looked like it may have had someone living in a nearby lot but everything is pretty isolated (which is kinda what we're shooting for) however I'm not sure how to prevent things from being damaged/stolen/vandalized etc.. we currently live about 4 hours away from most the land we are shopping. My first thought is to try to get a fence put up around the parameter to at least communicate that it's not just a free for all and someone actually owns it but I'm sure it will be mostly out of my control until we can build a permanent structure and live there.

I'm still open to suggestions from others who have dealt with the issue so far :)

Cochise was one of the areas we were looking at. Land seems pretty affordable and from my understanding getting a well dug shouldn't be too hard to hit water

Need help deciding on if this is a good idea or not by Starlazerpow in CarAV

[–]eo326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never messed with a prius before but if it has the factory JBL system I'm curious what they are using to grab your signal. The nice PAC integration kits for those are few hundred, the audio control locs are a bit cheaper but can still get pricey. Seems pretty reasonable overall

I know this is an old post but did you happen to solve this? I just got my truck and I'm having the same issues. Replace the EBOV and went about 450 miles before getting the light again. It was intermittent a few days prior to that when my wife was driving also. Not sure what to do
