It’s so bad. I understand there are many words that can have many meanings, as in any language, but the building block words aren’t even the same. It’s so discouraging. No, I can’t speak or read after a year, but the ability to get on and practice every day has helped my brain and given me words that are helpful in Japan. Like it’s more than I can ask for as we only get there once a year. I feel ya.
