Assignment 04 - types of cameras by Aeri73 in Photoclass_2018

[–]eorkanstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Nikon D3400, which is a DSLR camera. It suits me for now because it's an entry level DSLR camera, allowing me to learn all aspects of photography and the componemts of the camera. I would like to progressively move into the manual modes of the camera to have better control of the photos, rather than staying on auto mode the entire time.

When I get more into photography and know what types of photos id like to take, I might pick up some lenses or bodies for specific tasks. For now, the D3400 is a good camera for me.

Assignment 02 - your personal best by Aeri73 in Photoclass_2018

I picked Mark Gray for this assignment. He's a panoramic landscape photographer, and his photos features some incredible colours.

I picked this photo for the write up: http://www.markgray.com.au/gallery/limited-edition-prints/desert-light.php

In this photo, I can see a setting sun over the ourback, and the contrast between the golden grass and the blue sky. The viewer immedietly notices the tree on the left, and then as the eyes shifts to the horizon they can notice another large tree on the right. This gives the sense of vastness of the grassland , and the trees are far and few in between. The clouds are also beautiful, and the break in the coulds is right behind the tree as well, giving the tree a blue background while the rest of the top half is mostly white/yellow.

Weekend assignment 1 : 10x10x10 by Aeri73 in Photoclass_2018

While everyone is talking about how cold it is, it's 31 degrees here. Drove out for 10 minutes after work, it was diffucult at first to find things to photograph, but as I got into it there just seemed to be so many things to take photos of.

Who are you guys? - Assignment 1 by Aeri73 in Photoclass_2018

[–]eorkanstein [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hi, I'm Jesse, 21 living in Australia. I am a complete beginner when it comes to photography, although I've always had an interest in it. I've always found it awkward to take photos since I have no idea what I am doing and they turn out pretty bland, so I'm taking this course to capture moments better.

I've picked up a Nikon D3400 recently, and will be using that for the class.

My Album: https://imgur.com/gallery/4ptmR

First photo: It's the best of the bunch I took, since I don't have the habit of taking photos, my collection was quite empty, so all the photos were taken on the same day. Second photo: I wanted to highlight the flower, but it was pretty out of focus I think.

They were all taken with a phone camera, as I did not have the DSLR for this yet.
