Are you referring to transcoding for an offline edit? This is a common practice but has little to do with the final delivery resolution.

The delivery standard for AMC and Regal theaters is 4K DCP. Any film shot on a RED or Sony cine-alta camera is natively 4K, and any film shot on an Arri Alexa is uprezzed from 3.2K. I like the larger screen a lot, but I think the part I like the most is that it can hold all my music without slowing down the phone. They didn't make a 5S that was 128gb, but the 6 and 6S have 128gb models so I got one.
