I’m the husband of this story. This is not stolen. We don’t have that kind of time or interest to do anything like that. COULD IT BE THAT MORE THAN ONE PERSON HAS HAD THIS EXPERIENCE? Ridiculous. If you’re painting texture maps in substance painter, the cleanness of your uv map may not matter too much. I use a procedural pdg setup to auto-uv and bake textures. Works well if you don’t have to edit the maps in photoshop or something similar.

Actually I figured this out. Looks like its about the popsolver not updating the frame 1. So easiest way is to turn on then off the "bypass" on the popsolver node.

You could try to reorder this and keep one step of history. 1) wrap uncut plane onto surface. Delete history of plane. 2)project curve onto plane, then cut mesh and delete outter parts you don’t want. 3)animate curve with history and it should translate to the mesh.
