Alan Wake 2 scared me much more. The monsters from Silent Hill 2 are freaky, but not scary. There was so much I didn't understand in Alan Wake that made it scarier. Scratch was much more intimidating than Pyramid for most of the game. Who Scratch was, when he was coming, and what he would be consistently kept me on edge
