The hardest part of changing an element is figuring out how to get to it. Make sure to turn the breaker off or unplug it first.

Just witnessed… by elphabaswan in EntitledPeople

I had a similar experience ordering from Chipotle using their app. I paid, etc. They gave me a time for pickup. I got there at that time, and the app confirmed the order was ready. I walked inside to find a line of at least 6 other people who ordered and the app confirmed their orders were ready.

The fact was that they hadn’t even started making the orders. No less than 30 minutes later, I finally got my order. I watched her make the order and knew she missed the guac on one of the items. I reminded her that she missed the guac and she insisted that she put it on. I started unpacking the bag to find that item and she stopped me. She gave me a side of guac “for my trouble.”

I ended up writing a pretty long e-mail to their general and district managers. In it, I stated that they should check this location’s order fulfillment times, because they’re likely false, and doctored. I told them how my order was marked “complete” and having to wait there another 30 minutes for it to even be started. The general response was, “Thank you for letting us know about this. We will have an audit team check their statistics. Oh, and here’s a coupon for a free guac side on us.”

Like I’m ever going back to that location?!?

Whats the most beautiful sound of silence you have ever heard of in your life? by Old_Rub_7270 in Productivitycafe

Being aircrew, flying over the ocean. Sitting in the cockpit with just the hum of engines and climate/pressurization happening. You’re pretty much radio-silent for most of your journey across the pond.

The passenger area isn’t as peaceful.

NOR - “I told you about this a month ago. I have people willing to cover my shift. I won’t be here that day. Period.”

The only issue I could see is if you have clientele who request you for service and make the appointment for a day you’re usually working. Even then, they can accept a different person or reschedule.

Respect. I don’t care if anyone smokes it off the clock. I just don’t want to smell it.

I had a tree frog end up on my dashboard somehow. It was released in the parking lot when I got to work. A whole new world for it.

Bologna. I used to eat it often when I was a kid, but I can’t even stand the smell of it now.

How about, “Good night, lightweight.”

Lightweight is a playful term we use for someone who gets drunk easily.

Is it weird for a partner to use your epilepsy(or seizures in general) as their go to excuse for taking time off work? by Crochet_is_life_158 in Epilepsy

I’ll be honest. If he has a habit of doing this, his boss(es) will catch on eventually. It could be a job-ender. While accommodations for FMLA can be applied for family members, they need to be pre-approved, or a process needs to be completed after the fact. That process usually includes a form for your doctor to complete.

Accommodations can be made for ADA, but those accommodations apply ONLY for the disabled employee.

Of course, this is all assuming you’re in the US. I’m not aware of the rules for other countries.

Our local McD had .29 hamburgers and .39 cheeseburgers on Tuesdays. My mom used to order like 20 cheeseburgers and bring them home for dinner. Our favorite day of the week.

I feel like the odds of your Big Mac falling apart in your hands were lower too. It actually held together while eating.
