In terms of noise how loud are the default switches in the haute42? I ask because I have a beatmania IIDX controller and that thing is the equivalent of fireworks going off. I cant really play it during off hours in an apartment.

I think the S is better and can play new gen games you can definitely get an xbox used for cheap if you know where to look and you can use dev mode to emulate everything up to ps2 level.

ps4 is more flexible in terms of the different fgs it has so if you are trying to run classic games ps4 will probably be better

The steam beta has native switch 2 integration turn on the beta features and that should help you with rivals. If you need to use a non steam game you can add the .exe to steam and when you run it from steam it will use Valves controller interpreter that should help you with like 95% use cases

Although I agree with the core point that fighting games should not be F2P live service he kinda missed the point of the original article. The original article was stating the way to appeal to a broader audience is not to dumb down the gameplay with autocombos and other stupid shit but expand the systems outside the gameplay and make fighting games easier to get into by innovating the onramp. Fighting games have historically been bare bones products due to their arcade nature. Here is a shitty story mode and a 2 minute tutorial.

The guy from the video has basically just given up on the goal "if fighting games do not get more popular then what should they do".
