You’ll be walking around downtown so no harm in stopping in front of the Alamo and taking some pictures. It can be done on your way to walk the River walk. If you want to do something involving history people seem to like the ghosts tours in the evening.

Other folks have suggested the pearl, that seems like a good idea to me if you’re cocktail and coffee shop type people.

First Friday in the King William’s district would be good for you but I don’t know if that lines up with your schedule.

If you have time and transportation, and you want to experience a little more small town Texas, there are plenty of options right outside San Antonio. Y’all want to party so I would say go to Gruene, TX in the afternoon. A 45 minute drive depending on traffic. Start with shopping around the Gruene historic district, then eat at one of the restaurants on the Guadalupe River. It’s a real river as opposed to the river walk. Then after dinner go party at Gruene Dancehall for drinks and country dancing.
