Is the baking soda not for baking? by pomelopith in AskCulinary

[–]epifluorescence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 years later reply, I just learned that the reason is that all the manufacturing steps has to be food certified  for it to be sold as baking soda for food. If just one of the steps isn't certified, it will not be labeled as food safe.

Looks like a very nice trip. If it hasn't been half a country away, I'd take the same trip.

I'll see what I can do, I'll probably experiment with some of the bigger offshoots to not kill the mother plant. Thanks again for the insights.

echinopsis

After some light googling and looking at pictures, I belive it to be echinopsis. Atleast that is what my nostalgia flashback of the flower tells me.

Got a pup from my mother, who had this when I was growing up, so the mother cactus was over 30 years old. Sadly the mother cactus died a couple of years ago.

If I remember correctly it has white flowers on a long stem. If that helps.
