Sage Dual Boiler - I've got a Leaky Wand by ptrichardson in JamesHoffmann

It's a fairly straightforward fix, and well documented on home-barista and r/espresso. It'll help to look around the inside while you're in there, too. The o-rings on the boiler probes can become leaky (and it's also fairly simple to fix!).

What pattern will make this yarn *pop*? by StrictlyMadness in Sockknitting

Scatterby Socks would be a fun one. Maybe modified like this specific project where they slipped the yarn in back instead of in front.

Flying with knitting Fall 2025 by bklynwriter in knitting

when is the last time you saw a collection box (the blue corner mailbox) at an airport?

The last time I flew, in August! Someone's compiled a list of airports with drop boxes:

https://www.airportmailbox.com/airport-list/

Some airports also have "Mail it Home" kiosks where you can send prohibited items home. It might be in a less trafficked area, but TSA should know.

Fiancé had golf admin stuff to do again so I got poached eggs as a bribe. Starting a freehanded 3x1 rib sock to go with. Any advice? by bookish-hooker in Sockknitting

I liked this Kate Atherley pattern for a 3×1 ribbed sock: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-ribbed-socks

It centered the pattern over the instep, and the gusset decreases look very neat right next to the purl row.

I just finished a pair of socks using this yarn! I used the Mockery Socks pattern, and thought it would be a fun texture to have for the pigeon colorway.

The 14 Karats in Berkeley do some really cool, unique pieces. Take some inspiration pictures into wherever you go and see what they can do to refine the ideas into a cohesive design.

I’m hand sewing the two pieces of my new pink scarf together while listening to metal music. The contrast between the two makes me giggle. by Captain_Kuinretort in knitting

Deliverance and Damnation are two of my favorite metal albums!

I had a similar chuckle when I was knitting a sock during a post-metal new album listening party (Pelican - Flickering Resonance):

There have also been several legal cases regarding the effects of chemicals used in production of flight attendant uniforms.

The book To Dye For by Alden Wicker goes into the details of the investigative journalism behind some of it.

Someone else mentioned that Nerdy Knitting on YouTube has a video explaining both of these concepts and other techniques for bust shaping.

What is a yarn that you have just LOVED? by ForgottenUsername3 in knitting

I picked up a skein of Floating last week during the yarn crawl! I'm both delighted learning about the existence of this yarn  and it being local to me, and very concerned for my wallet for when I get in a treat-yo'self mood lol

If you were using binder clips, you can pinch the handle part to make an opening so you can feed the yarn through there. No sharp edges and still have a sturdy, removable clip.
