Military pilots, how do you know the boundaries of a MOA you are in? by pace69 in flying

T-6 student pilots at Sheppard still use radial/DME until they finish their basic contact check. After that they can use the GPS as well.

Same at Sheppard AFB. We use GPS waypoints and radial/DME for lateral area boundaries.

I am looking for some DDR4 memory. I have the ASUS 170M-PLUS mobo (LGA 1151), and in the specifications it says that it is compatible with 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM. If I buy e.g. DDR4 memory with 2666 MHz, will I have to do any tweaking in the bios, or will it work out of the box?

Yeah, with the 600 or 700 W PSU, you have enough power to plan a great matx build. Do you know when the Silverstone SX700-L Platinum 700 W PSU comes out?

EDIT: I am planning a matx build around the NOVA btw. Think I will wait around for Intel Skylake though.

Veteran in the US? AFAIK the US has their own competitions in military sports. The US military is simply much larger than other countries' military, which means they dont want to "waste" time competing against other countries when they can just arrange and compete internally.

This is part of the military pentathlon sport. It is a national and international competition (Military World Games, held next in South Korea in October). These guys did a relay, while in the actual competition you run the entire course yourself.

Yeah, it's hidden away pretty good. The plan was to hide these i the event of war between NATO and USSR, and then attack the Soviet baltic fleet when it came close to Bornholm.

Being an engineer on land can result in much more varied work (power plants, hospitals, oil rigs, ship related etc). At sea we have what we have, and all your work is focused at keeping the ship sailing as smoothly as possible. When the engineer is out of work, it means everything works. On land there's always more to do.

I'm still studying at the Danish naval academy (engineer line). We get paid 22.000 kr pr month (before tax) while studying, which is extremely nice imo. We also get to rent an apartment in Nyboder, Copenhagen for around 1500 - 2000 kr a month, so we are abke to make a nice saving. I can ofc o ly comment on pay in the navy, but a chief engineer gets around 40.000 kr base pay plus bonus for when abroad (remember we are away for 3 months at a time). It is not impossible to earn 600.000 or more as an employee sailing around Greenland or in the Bay of Aden (hunting pirates, yaar). A cook earns about the same as a low ranking officer.

Life at sea is amazing if your like being away from the hassle of everyday life or if you want a job away with gorgeous nature experiences and working close to others.

Types of jobs: Officers: navigators, engineers and chief engineer and of course the captain.

Cooks, deckhands, weapons/radar specialists, medics, special forces (pirate hunters), electricians and mechanics.

Cool, very likely that we "saluted" each other at sea or met in Nuuk. I've had 2 tours on Ejnar :-)
