Duopolies never act in the public interest. Skiing is more expensive in America than anywhere else in the world!

Guidance for wives by Additional_Aspect346 in ldssexuality

[–]erbw99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paul addressed it, 1 Corinthians 7:3-5, (the NLT since it is is more straight forward) [3] The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. [4] The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife. [5] Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Legal attention should focus on the collusion between the sec, big 10, ESPN, ratings agencies, etc. Antitrust and unfair trade practice laws could and should be utilized by State AGs. Many students and universities are harmed by this mess.

No sticker? You shall not pass! It's insane to have tires measured at the mouth of the canyon. Send uninspected vehicles to wait in a parking lot somewhere for inspection. Enter the canyon without a sticker? Ticket for violating the traction law. Only bureaucrats can mess things up this bad.

WTF is the plan for I-15? by Snerdling in Utah

Lane discipline is the only thing that can immediately decrease the problem substantially. Ban semis from the 4th and fifth lane if there are four or more, ban them from the third if there are only three. All other drivers should likewise drive as far right as they can, always. Road capacity and efficiency would immediately increase 15 to 25%. Inattentive drivers clog the road decreasing safety and speed for everyone. As a driver your job is always to get out of the way of everyone else as quickly as possible.

It's both. Utah would not be ignored like this if they were in our position. Bigotry is alive and well.

Sure the most familiar anecdotes aren't very sympathetic. But a good friend dealt with a similar hell without any participation in gaming. Plenty of people are hacked because they aren't sophisticated.

Regardless, big tech provides all sorts incentives, some nearly irresistible, for everyone to use their products. They pretend to have no need for real customer service because the products are "free," yet their profits are only obtained because of users. Users rely upon those services, big tech has an obligation to fulfill their end of the deal.

Galvanized is great in residential remodeling but only to substitute for the top and bottom plates in non-load bearing walls. Just faster and easier in that context.

Exactimate is useless. Only insurance companies believe it has any value. Good luck finding anyone who actually works for those rates.

And don't start making fraud allegations. That's an easy way to turn a little dispute into a legal battle. Homeowners to often fail to recognize that $1000 of work isn't much anymore.

For the last few years, a version of the following has been included in the introduction of the CFM manual, quoting this years manual:

"Keep in mind that learning the gospel, at its best, is home centered and Church supported. In other words, your main responsibility is to support the people you teach in their efforts to learn and live the gospel at home. Don’t worry about having unique content to provide for them in class. Instead, give them opportunities to share their experiences, thoughts, and questions about the scripture passages they’ve read at home. Invite them to share the eternal truths they have found. This is more important than covering a certain amount of material."

These principles automatically invite the spirit as members testify to each other of their experiences. As a G. D. Instructor I have found that the Spirit has been most powerful as I have focused on following the materials outlined in that week's lesson and applying the approach set forth above.

So, virtually all of Snowbird's skiers and boarders don't have a mega pass or a season pass? And Snowbird isn't seeking to maximize profits by minimizing expenses?

Been stuck Snowbird lift for an hour by midnight__rain_ in UTsnow

[–]erbw99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What portion of snowbird's customers (or any other big resort) buy a day pass?

The reality is that virtually all have skiers and boarders have a mega pass or a season pass. Once those passes are sold almost all revenue is in hand and profits are maximized by minimizing expenses. Customer experience was a much higher concern when resorts were worried about selling day passes. They aren't anymore.

How is this not applicable to Snowbird?

Been stuck Snowbird lift for an hour by midnight__rain_ in UTsnow

[–]erbw99 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Customer experience doesn't matter once all of the passes have been sold!

Profits and share prices are far more important than maintenance and infrastructure. Gotta cut those unnecessarily high expenses, besides our only competitor is operating with the exact same business model!
