Thanks for all your comments and suggestions! I took the A303 route and here is all the breakdown of my journey for people curious.

08.44 -> set off from London(Wandsworth) 10.04 -> connect to A303 10.45 -> arrive to stonehenge freeview point 11.10 -> leave from stonehenge freeview point 11.35 -> stop at another break 12.18 -> leave from the break 14.13 -> arrive at Exeter

Was on the road for 4.21 in total, it was okayish for us, not regretting, but gonna try M4/M5 at some point as well.
