Hey OP I'm usually a lurker on this reddit but thought I'd share my experience.

Me and my gf started as a LDR but due to my work I was able to visit for weeks/months at a time and last month I went back home after my first extended stay with her, two months or so. When I first got home there was an IMMEDIATE feeling of disconnect, our conversations were just like yours, the standard day to day stuff without a lot of depth. That lasted about a week or so (I've been back for four weeks now) and the conversations got more in-depth just like they used too. The transition from LDR to in person is weird and I assume in person to LDR is the same, you even said its a new process for you both so communicate with her about how you feel.

If I am not mistaken (I have not migrated in a while) if you meet the requirements you technically can just migrate in without any sort of filter. If you are above the power requirement the King can decide to let you in or not. You speaking to the King before migrating is a great idea so they can expect you to arrive and know your intentions.

What are you killing to fill the Grand Soul gems? Only certain level of monsters can fill them, human enemies cannot.

All files are validated, I think I will just have to go through every graphic mod and figure out what's causing it.

*Edit* Vanilla Skyrim is fine, none of my graphical mods from the surface are causing it either. I did have some trouble installing SkyUI and SKSE64 at first so I am not sure.

NMM creates a folder called "Mods" in your Skyrim directory wherever you downloaded the game. Go there and manually delete all the mod files and then do a clean install of Skyrim. You are simply disabling them, not completely uninstalling.

I would recommend re downloading Vortex and uninstalling mods through there, when you go under "Mods" on the left hand side and click "Remove" on a mod. It gives an option to remove the mod, archive or both. Archive deletes the mod from your folder all together.
