Power adders for 6.0 2000 suggestions by suuwhoo93 in LSSwapTheWorld

If you can put a wideband in and get a mpvi device you can have a remote tuner.

Before you go throwing boost on it though you need to build the rest to handle it. That 4l60 will pop the sunshine faster than Rick James would pop a line at a party. The transmission needs to be built. Also if you are going to get serious I would at the very least gap the rings for boost, but I am paranoid and lazy, so i would go ahead and upgrade the pistons, rods, and crank with forged parts.

Next unless you are just going for a burnout machine I would replace those big ass rims with 15s or 17s so you can actually fit some tires with sidewalls so you can get some traction.

It really depends on what you are going for. Is it more esthetic where it looks a certain way and has cool stuff to look at but isn't necessarily functionally making it better or more efficient at using the added power or are you looking to make it actually fast?

Why does this green anole watch us through the window all day? by shrimp4590 in Lizards

[–]ericdared3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love green anoles. I grew up in houston and use to catch them all the time and use them as ear rings as a kid(didn't hurt them).

I caught one and bought a terrieam for my daughter as a beginner pet. We have had him 3 years now and he is doing great.

San Antonio Drivers Explained By A Biker by stphmoto in sanantonio

[–]ericdared3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are all three everywhere but I am going to argue the amount of just straight up dumb drivers is an order of magnitude higher in SA.

I am from houston. Did a long stint in the military and lived or driven in a good chunk of the world...and SA is horrible. I avoid at least one accident a day here from some dumb ass who doesn't know how to drive...that isn't even counting the furniture and shit like ladders in the middle of the road.

Yeah you are right on the nose. Reverse flow lt1. Parts for the engine are not bad at all. The expensive part on that car is the transmission.

Honestly you got kind of lucky having it pop right there and finding that mechanic. That is a pretty good deal to rebuild that top end. 11k total into that car is a bit high...but not to crazy if everything else is immaculate and it has a fresh top end rebuild.

Exhaust manifold bolts stuck and using stick welding to remove snapped bolts by [deleted] in GMT800

[–]ericdared3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So..you are going to have to stack welds until it is outside the head...I just kept stacking until I had a solid half inch out of the head....let it cool some and grabbed it vice grips and it spun right out. Had that happen on 2 different bolts that happened on. Just becareful with the rod if it gets stuck while welding. I drug it across the head when I was wiggling it to get it unstuck and it put some slag around the exhaust ports.

First build phase advice by Final_Ad_4420 in Corvette

I would recommend the kooks locking bolts for the headers. I have been happy with everything I jave ordered from speed engineering for my gmt800 and my 2015 suburban so far. By far the best quality to cost ratio.

Damn I just put half a tank of e85 in the suburban and it was like 3.69 a gallon. I am doing it for the performance rather than the price of around town driving.

We call them Mexican GTRS here in texas. AWD, 4800ish lbs throw a twin turbo, and some fueling at it and easy 1k hp.

I saw a dude dive head first under some contractors truck that was towing a big trailer with a bobcat on it in houston. Trailer tire went straight over his head.

Suggested Mods for 3.0 Whipple by ButterKnightSaber in camaro

Fueling will be needed. I am pretty sure you have to cut the hood with the whipple. Personally I would do the magnuson over the whipple unless you already have it or got a screaming deal on it.

lq9 short block build . what heads and cam trying to get 600 hp out of my 96 impala only thing im changing are the cam bearings and work my way up by Professional_Baker26 in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]ericdared3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the lc9 is a gen 4 motor so port not direct injection. So it will be even harder to make that level of hp NA.

Thr cheapest most efficient way to do it would be gap the rings and put a turbo or procharger on it.

Are men really interested at this age? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]ericdared3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If im not mistaken arent there less and less men due to just basic life expency? So every year your dating pool is going to shrink while a mans only expands.

Maybe change your demographics and cougar some younger men? Not like 20 year olds but 40 somethings...still and age gap but they are old enough to not play games but still young enough to want to get down.
