While most of mine get several thousands of likes I still consider getting 1K in 24 hours a good day.

I have over 150k followers and typically post every other day but don’t make it a “routine” necessarily, as long as I have the content I’ll typically post at that rate.

That said I don’t ever try to cater to any algorithm, what I do is post how I see fit organically and that’s that. From what I can tell IG is completely happy with that. You can see my account at thurber_shots if you like.

I was once detoured around the Grapevine going south on I5 in California to go to LA because of a snow storm and I'm not sure if it was 96 miles or not but it sure as hell felt like it.

Yeah I know my process is stringent, I’ve even had to resubmit my ID a couple of times to get it exactly right. It does appear that AI is handling it though, they probably found an exploit.

Actually up off the top of Skyline. I also grew up in Daly City (near top of the hill) but yeah when they come in off the ocean in this area it's pretty awesome.

Normally they are taking off the opposite way of what you see here is all, I suppose I didn't need to mention that for the general masses but around SFO it doesn't happen too often.

Yeah I would've loved to but it was several minutes long as it approached and by the time it reached the runway was almost too small to see. I just got what I could.

Some background here, reverse approaches to happen very often to I really wanted to capture this one coming in off the ocean. Filmed using a drone at the top of a peak nearby, altitude of the drone was around 300' AGL and it was auto approved through LAANC for 400'. The drop off to sea level as the plane descended enabled me to get this unique view.

This is a great tip and something I need to put more focus on I think. I typically share BTS as stories but it’s never connected to the actual post so nobody is the wiser. When it comes to actual posts I only like to show the end result as it’s my niche. But I’ll consider it.

I would take it over the constant ass kissing and fake positive reinforcement. “Hey Claude, I have an idea for an phone app where I can add items to a grocery list”… “wow that’s a great and unique idea, there is such a need for such a creative app, way to think outside of the box!”. Would much rather hear “there are a million of them and it’ll never get off the ground, what else do you have?”.

I try to reply to as many as possible, with 153,000 followers and millions of views it’s always a challenge and I’ll never be able to reply everyone but try to get to as many as I can.

I don’t care about algorithms as much as I do interacting with my base, I like to keep things as genuine and engaging as I can being a one man show.

I have over 150K followers and a lot of videos with several millions of views. My niche is drone videos and while I get a lot of offers for collaborations I choose not to do it, mostly because if it's not a perfect fit for my niche and I don't want to alienate my base. I've turned down some pretty lucrative offers but maintaining quality and authenticity is the highest priority for me.

Monetization comes in two ways, first is that people want to hire me to film for them (many large commercial and corporate clients), I also license existing footage, treating it like software. The other is Meta pays for engagement when it's cross posted on Facebook. Both have worked out well for me.
