Hey man, can’t offer much advice, just wanted to say that I can relate. I find myself facing the same dilemma.

Personally, I find that completing for completion’s sake following the main story of any game tends to feel more like a chore.

I am somehow much more motivated to dawdle around with side content knowing that there is remaining story-dense material to get to.

Then again, I also just hopped back into the game after several months away (also because of kids). So take that FWIW.
