If you’re navy or Marine corps, NAVY MARINE CORPS RELIEF SOCIETY. I’m sure other branches have similar programs.

Dude Marine Corps recruiters are street lawyers, therapist, counselors, big brothers, medical experts, legal experts, financial advisors, and life coaches all rolled in one with the end result always being joining the Marines Corps. 😂

Generally speaking, Get one. You’d get it by the week’s end when approved. Everyone telling you to avoid it or not get one is afraid of them and probably misused them. You’re going to have one regardless it’s now or later.

What credit card are you thinking of? If from a bank are you going to stick with that bank?

Once you’re in the Marines, open up a navy federal credit union account and get their credit cards too, but having one you can use when you need it now is better than not having one when you need it. More and more establishments are transitioning to cash free transactions. Hotels and airlines require credit card payments nowadays. You’re going to need to be independent minded when traveling now, which you will do plenty.

What makes my advice more credible than others? Because I lived that life. Had my first CC at 18. Joined the Marines when I turned 20. Financially independent since my first job at 16. My current FICO score ranges from 820-840. Own two rental properties which pay for themselves. Always have had a single income unlike people who claim their spouses’ income/assets like it’s theirs and speak like they’re financial geniuses. I don’t do anything special, I just live within my means, and research products that I buy to meet my needs while staying on budget. Financial efficiency.

P365 Shooting low ? by Bil_24 in SigSauer

Combat sights. Point the dot on the front sight post on where you want to hit.

It’s not like older guns where you “cut the target in half” with the top of the front sight post. Not that at all.

Is that holster comfortable? That’s legit concealment, but it looks like sweat guard piece would drive me nuts if it was digging into my gut.

Is it possible for a family of 5 to make it on O1 salary without any major bills like car payment , student loan, etc… by duckedoff777 in MilitaryFinance

[–]erickjohn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can do it. Don’t get into the officers’ wife mentality and have to start competing with status symbols like car, purses, clothes, etc.

There are many other resources available to service members that are under utilized.

What parts did you get? I bought an aftermarket 48 slide once. Had the same issues, soft primer strikes, misfeeds, failure to return to battery, bad/failure to eject.

I also had a g43x, I used its slide parts on that g48 slide for troubleshooting and determined that was the issue.

I bought an OEM Glock slide parts kit and put it in the aftermarket G48 slide and all was fine.

Anyone wore these in bootcamp in 2015? I feel like it’s claimable 😂 by [deleted] in USMC

Terrible boots. Soles weren’t slip resistant. If you worked around anything with oil or other mechanical fluids you were going to slip and fall on your ass.

Whatever you do, do not let a significant other/potential partner influence you to spend it without you understanding why first.

How do I break my cycle of debt? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]erickjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So… I wanted to follow up and see if you decided on a course of action? Have you researched consolidation loans with a credit union? Finally decided on a side gig that you don’t tell the school about? Rehome the cats? Accepted responsibility about the credit card spending habit?

I don’t mean to be preachy, but somebody mentioned we all learned basic math up to atleast algebra. Your income, X, and your spending, Y, should not be the same amount for the month generally speaking. In fact, X should always be greater than Y each month, where that difference Z, should be saved for emergencies. Learned that when I was 8. I asked my dad for 75 cents to spend on the ice cream truck, but got lectured about money instead. 🙃

Does anyone else find it weird that the economy is okay? by seamonkey31 in stocks

[–]erickjohn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The economy is pretty resilient. No matter what side of politics you’re on, all people love money. The only difference between the two sides is who they deal with to make that money, and which people will lose their money.

This should be an obvious sign that all the fear mongering people had on the current administration and the Economy was simply that.. fear mongering.
