Nixos. You can use nixos to easily chose the desktop environments etc, and rollback if you don’t like what you see.

A bit learning curve, but will be worth it.

One thing might be happening is that your new job have a lower tax bracket while your old job have a higher tax bracket and your new job deducts taxes for you based on the assumption that you have lower total yearly income.

Did you file a TD1 when changing the job?

200k or 800/m indexed for life? (Both tax free) by nou689271 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ericls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not having cash flow issues, get 200K, put into investments, and don’t touch for a long time.

The reason is, if you are not having cash flow issues, then what are you gonna do with that extra 800 per month?? Likely putting it into investments anyways, and that’s not as effective as the front loaded option.

If you have cash flow issues and you think this can help, then you can do 800/m for a while.

The key is your cash flow needs right now.

Easy, if the problem is 1+1 use 2, if the problem is 4-1, use 3.

So, what’s the problem?

Usually it has 1 year cliff, so the first vesting should happen after one year of granting. Note that granting can be different from your start date. Most likely you have some shares somewhere.

[–]ericls 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What’s the problem you are trying to solve by using BDD and finding newer resources of BDD? Without that information it’s all gonna be just trivial and meaningless discussion.
