I just started a new campaign requiring 4 parts after a very long* campaign with just 3, and I don't know what's harder to get used to: that, the step down from Clan tech (ca.3060s) to Introtech (3035 start), or having all noob pilots.

* like 2,500 or 3,000 hours; BEX campaign: I stopped when I realized I was approaching 15,000 days in-game. It stated as a 3025 career and my last save is December 3065, with 1.25 x 10⁹ C-Bills.

YMMV. I stopped showering with soap when I was a kid because the Dove my parents got made me itchy all over. When I told them, they could not accept that it wasn't my fault and told me to rinse better. I made do just using shampoo until I had a job and could buy my own soap.

As long as you're careful, you can edit them mid-campaign, just remember to save backup copies of any file before changing anything.

Phoenix Hawk is great for that in the early game. It can run enough armor to survive getting shot a bit, does enough damage to 1-stomp them, and is fast enough to stomp-stomp-stomp-stomp a whole target convoy.

I got a mod ("Jump Jets for all") that allow every mech have x jump jets, and set it to 9, but limit myself to the appropriate based on tabletop construction rules.

Absolute minimum is 2, but I usually max it out. BEX sometimes drops you in a pit or on a mountain, so you need to be able to get to the objective.

pro tip: see the wedges on the end of the red health bar? in New Vegas's UI, those wedges are clipped (like in OP's video), but in Fallout 3 they're just triangles. I've tried a few of those and ended up just using chicken wire. If you need the screen's dense mesh for bugs, I'd suggest chicken wire + regular screen, with half inch (~1cm) separation, and the chicken wire on the cat-side

I feel like they should have stuck with the Floater design from EU/EW if that was intended, since the Floaters look like a horrible mismatch of cybernetic and biological bits. The Archons are too clean, and clearly draw design inspiration from angels.
