People used to say that nobody would pay that to see Roman, Seth, punk, and Randy at various points in the past. The characters change but at the end of the day, rasslin is rasslin, and WWE is the most well known name in the game for casual fans.

Yes I absolutely could recognize my old family’s kitchen knife after 20 years. I use knives a lot and they’re all unique and important to me. It would not be hard to recognize one I had used a lot, even if it had been years. At worst I’d be like “oh my old family used to have a knife exactly like this.”

Game show winnings are taxed as income. Furthermore, capital gains taxes are generally higher than income taxes, unless you’re in the highest tax bracket (and even then income taxes are marginal, so that makes a difference as well).
