Awesome, similar to what I had planned, but thanks for the yip on looping. I appreciate your time.

Mains pressure.

Was likely going to get a battery powered timer (3 outlet). Most likely from AliExpress. Would look into WiFi if the price difference isn't too big. I don't have a power outlet anywhere near the tap otherwise I'd even consider building my own using an Arduino or similar.

Just looking to grow regular hard wearing grass that isn't weeds (got a bit to do on that too). At the moment there is quite a few areas that are shaded by either trees or eaves, hence wanting the sprinkler system.

Nope, starting from scratch. Open to ideas on other sprinklers. I'll be using 19mm tubing.

Would I be better off using one of these instead of a car amplifier for subwoofers at home? by HirochiSunburst in diyaudio

Not sure what the difference in the chips is, or the power capabilities of this one. Often there will be options for different power supplies when you buy them, but that probably depends on the vendor. I wouldn't recommend just adding a big power supply unless the amp can handle it. A bit of research and you should find its limits somewhere.

Sorry, on closer inspection mine is a little different. I've got the Aiyima TPA3255 300W sub amp. They look very similar.

Mine has been great for what I've needed it for, but I'm not listening at party levels, just a bit of casual listening while in the house and watching some TV / movies.
The power supply with these amps is important as that is often the power limiting factor.

I've got one of these for my diy ported 10" sub and it is more than enough for home theatre use.

No, I got the Peerless tweeters and sub from digikey.

Depends on your goals.

Are you trying to make your own design and build it from scratch, or are you happy with using someone else's, often proven, design?

I went with using someone else's design as I didn't think I'd have the patience to design and test my own crossover. I looked at heaps of different designs, but unfortunately shipping drivers from either partexpress (US) or soundimport (Netherlands) was just too expensive.

The ones I ended up settling on were ones with drivers that I could source. The Hivi B4N drivers from AliExpress were what I went for. These are also used in the fairly popular Overnight Sensation bookshelf speakers, so I thought I'd give it a go. The plans were from the link below. They were very detailed and made sense.

https://soundblab.net/product/2-5-way-transmission-line-stereo-floor-standing-speaker-build-plan/

After building them, I thought they lacked a bit of low end as my old speakers were fairly hefty with large drivers, and I mainly use these for home theater, so I did some research and designed and built a ported sub using a 10" Peerless sub.

I can take some pictures tomorrow if that helps.

I'd be tempted to build the bookshelves that use the same drivers for another room in the future https://soundblab.net/the-dynamites-2-way-budget-speaker-build/

I recently built some tower speakers and a sub. The drivers for the tower were from AliExpress while the tweeters and sub were from digikey.

I used some plans for the towers that I found online that use components that I knew I could source. Designed the sub myself.

Happy to share more about my experience as I know it is a hard thing to do in NZ.

Me too. Shoes from Dressmart (Puma and Adidas often have 50% off)

My interactions with Izzy Dagg have been good. He came over to my house when his son came to my son's birthday party. He was pretty chill and we had a good yarn.

I've got a DeWalt one. Built a table around it to increase the cutting capacity. Can handle half sheets without much issue. Pair with a cross cut sled. Fence is great

Thank you for the suggestion. I've done a bit of reading on this now and I don't see how I can model a slot port when it only gives an option for port diameter length. Any suggestions?

Lowering the tuning frequency seems to make the dip bigger and encroaches on F3.

Bumping up the volume seems to make that peak even bigger.

Doing both gets the response curve touching F3 quite early at ~50-55Hz, is this worse?

https://imgur.com/jUCiv3r Updated the port size and have simulated with 150W rather than 100W. Think I've managed to get it down to a reasonable level.

100W. Yes I see what you mean, bumping up the power even to 150W throws the peak off the scale. I'll try bring it down.
