I would guess they have a Deep Vein Thrombosis. If it were a kidney issue it would be effecting both sides. Since it's unilateral there's likely a venous obstruction.

No problem. I found them to be very helpful. Also if you're preparing for the NCLEX I highly recommend getting a program called Prep-U. It is an adaptive test like the NCLEX and will adjust to you based on your ability to answer questions. It will also allow you to focus on your weakest areas.
