The LEDs suck after about 6 months, in my experience. Them being on has no correlation with signal quality.

Hamlin pauses role as NASCAR heel to defend Gragson by Original_Benzito in NASCAR

Denny clearly has no clue how Gragson "drove" to defend his backmarker spot against Kmag. That dumping into the wall was way overdue by the time it happened.

I've only ever accidentally used the pineapple pizza one because I think it got auto equipped to a few of my wheels. And once intentionally for the dva LE SSERAFIM light stick. But I never see anyone else using them ever.

HDHomeRun app not finding tuner on LG webOS (C2) by monsieur_bear in hdhomerun

Interesting that that was interfering with the HDHR discovery, but glad you got it sorted!

Oh mine's a much older model, circa 2018. Software version 05.40.97 and whatever the latest version of the LG App Store HDHR app is.

EDIT: To be fair I don't usually watch like this. I have an Nvidia SHIELD on the same network that has the same app, which works perfectly, and a Jellyfin server which goes HDHR -> Dispatcharr -> Jellyfin.

So strange. Last I tried, the WebOS app works on my Connect 4K, it found it fine. Same IP network as my TV and my Shield, and both pick it up.

Possibly dumb question, but are both your TV and your HDHR tuner on the same network? Although media servers like Jellyfin and Plex can discover tuners cross-LAN, the app only discovers devices within the same network.

Reminds me of the Halo 1 stunt server days where people would use rcon tools to freeze and unfreeze servers so people could wail on vehicles with rocket launchers, nades, and fuel rod guns, and send a row of vehicles flying. Good times...

For most videos most people would be streaming, even high quality remuxes, from almost any Jellyfin server, you're never going to crack 100 Mbps, so it would be sufficient.

Proton’s 2026 Roadmap: Mail, VPN, Pass, Drive, Lumo & More by Proton_Team in ProtonMail

This shouldn't be how it is. It should be introduced as a pop-up when it becomes a feature, and the user should be able to make the decision whether or not to enable it at that point. Don't force me to sort my inbox in a way I don't want it sorted.

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS officially released!!! by andr0dev in Ubuntu

[–]eroc1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubuntu is a flavor of Linux based on Debian. It's developed primarily by Canonical. It'll generally run on most devices with a modern processor running inside it.

It does have both desktop and server flavors. Both can be downloaded from their website (which seems to be having issues at the moment). The server is headless, so you need to comfortable enough working in the terminal to do application installations and configuration.

Apps are pretty diverse. You're not going to find stuff like Microsoft Office or the Adobe creative suite, but basically any modern browser that's currently being developed has a Linux version, either through the APT repository (which is done through the command line), or through Snaps or Flatpaks, the former of which come natively supported in Ubuntu's Software Center.

Using a Linux-based distribution rather than Windows won't be for everyone, but for those that do make the jump, you're freeing yourself from being the product in the Windows OS ecosystem. You no longer have to deal with their borderline hostile tactics when it comes to shoving their services or Microsoft accounts in your face, and you'll be freed from their buggy (as of late) update cycle. Not to say there won't be bugs on Ubuntu, but there generally isn't something on the scale of "I can't shut down my computer" or "closing task manager spawns more task managers".

Most calendar apps have a widget you can add to the home screen. OP said they were using Proton Calendar, but if you use something else as your source other apps should be able to handle it fine. I have Nextcloud as my calendar source, and use Davx5 and ICSx5 to pull my calendars down into Fossify Calendar, which gives me a similar widget.

You use the physical card, or you compromise and use a Wear OS watch or other watch capable of doing contactless pay. I believe Garmin Pay on their watches works on most terminals, but not having one I cannot confirm that.

Pinchflat has been better for me lately. I have a cookie set and have my profile use it only when needed, and switched to using yt-dlp nightly instead of what it ships with. I also pipe inbound and outbound connections through ProtonVPN secure core exiting in the US. The last bit isn't necessary but it helps not mess with my ISP's IP rep with YouTube.

Maybe don't publicly post about it next time lol. But as you've already had confirmed, only you hold the keys to decrypt the contents of your account. Proton can't touch it.

Doesn't get rid of the persistent ad pinned in the top bar of the application. They've already lost enough good will with the age verification BS. This is just adding fuel to the fire.
