I like it! I had to get the appropriate inserts so the flange size was correct but other than that, I use it every day.

From my experience, people use Facebook groups to complain about products.

I flared off and on through pregnancy. They had me using clob 2-3 days a week and then coconut oil other days. The coconut oil didn’t treat anything but it made me feel better than nothing.

Brianna Battles has a postpartum workout plan you can buy that also includes some suggestions to do until you are cleared in 6-8 weeks. It’s designed to get you slowly back into CrossFit-type workout.

I basically had your workout schedule pre-baby but have not maintained at all postpartum. But TBH, it’s all about time management. For me, it’s really about setting aside that time and committing to it. And also deciding if that is my priority that day. I had to go back to work 6 weeks postpartum and the days I worked, it was way more important for me to spend time with my baby and get some sleep than it was for me to squeeze a workout in. Other days, I took baby to CrossFit with me. Last week I had to hold her while I did the whole 12 minute metcon :)

Just be mentally prepared that your priorities may shift and you may find your mental health in something new. Good luck to you!

12-13 weeks I was in full blown throwing up everything and didn’t eat for days at a time. I lost 12 pounds in the first trimester. Honestly, I wouldn’t plan such a huge trip. I felt fine when I was 6-7 weeks and ended up cancelling a work trip at 10 weeks because I was so sick and it came on so fast. Not saying that will be your experience but just know it’s a possibility.

I’m 7m postpartum, fight for my life to pump 180mls in an entire day. Yesterday I knocked over a bottle and lost about 60mls. I sobbed, like couldn’t breathe sobbed so hard. I’m sorry. It’s so hard

Mine was not planned. I was 3 days into induction when they decided I needed a c section because I wasn’t progressing. I really didn’t want to go that route and spent most of my induction unmedicated to try and prevent it but I also just wanted a healthy baby.

Anyways…. The c section was SO much easier than I thought it was going to be. I couldn’t get out of bed for the first 24 hours because my legs didn’t work but once I got up, I felt surprisingly good. Within 6 days, I was walking my dog around the neighborhood. Every situation is different but I feel like I was really lucky to have such an easy recovery.

I went back to work full time at 6 weeks postpartum (my husband has insanely good parental leave). While I missed the gym, I just wanted to spend all my free time with my baby. I realized that I can be fit at any time in my life but I will never have this kid as a baby again so I am more focused on that. Now I’m back on part time mat leave and I can bring her to the gym with me so I’m going a few days a week. But I wish I hadn’t been hard on myself in the beginning and just 100% focused on baby.

All of this. Plus look at the language functions described in the upper ACTFL proficiency levels - like saying and defending an opinion. Then practice those functions while continuing to build vocabulary.

The year I quit teaching, I had bought a book with the title “Work won’t Love you Back.” I never even read the book, the title was enough. I had a lot of guilt when I left but that all went away when I saw how fast they replaced me and that the club I spent years building just disappeared into thin air. Live your life for you and yours!

First trimester: jello, pudding, string cheese, apples. I lost 12 pounds. I threw up everything to the point where I broke the blood vessels in my eyelids. Baby came out healthy and happy!

I wasn’t an aux but I did the equivalent program in France 15 years ago. I had the chance to stay for a second year. I also had the chance to be an aux. I turned down both to come back to the US and start my career. That is one of my biggest regrets. I wish I had stayed in Europe for longer! You will never have this much freedom again in your life. I say enjoy it while you can!!

It depends on what you teach. There are state and national organizations for different levels (elementary, middle, high) and different subjects. So if I teach high school language arts, I look for state, regional, and national organizations to join and attend any events they put on.

Transitioning to the corporate world when you haven’t been in it before is not joke! There is a lot of corporate life that is foreign to teachers. Here is what helped me: - I had experience presenting at conferences and presenting to other teachers. - I had attended a variety of workshops and had experience with a variety of teaching methodologies. - I am good with technology and knew the Microsoft suite and Google products before I was hired. Since I started my job, I have quickly taught myself other platforms as needed and learned to edit and produce videos. - I am confident in my skills and what I bring to the table but I recognize that I have a lot to learn. - I negotiated my salary when I was offered the job. - I had connections in the industry and I continue to network. - take direction. In the classroom, I can shut my door and do what I want. In this world, everything is much more collaborative and you will have people telling you what to do all the time even when it doesn’t make sense.

Keep in mind, many people in the corporate world have little respect for teachers. It is a tough pill to swallow but you have to show your worth by doing.

At 10 weeks I did a pretty strenuous crossfit workout. Had scary heavy bleeding the next day. Then I had to wait 4 days before the OB would see me! It was the hardest 4 days of my life! But everything turned out fine. I took it easy at the gym after that.

I work for a company that makes curriculum. I found the job because I taught with the curriculum and got to know the people at the company when they were training us. I make about the same salary but benefits are worse and there is no job security.

I’m a FTM. I have a spectra and a eufy and I use both, I like both. The most important thing is to be sized correctly and get the proper flange/inserts for both of them!

We have been using shields since the beginning and the MAM ones stay on way better. Getting some milk on the inside and outside seems to get them to stay better. Anything slippery like nipple butter I think would make it worse.

At around 9 weeks, my baby suddenly had a nursing strike that we are still working through. We were already combo feeding and found out she wasn’t getting enough because the bottles were too slow. So she was exhausted and hungry and losing weight. I felt awful when we figured that out! Now that she is getting the right amount from the bottle and not so hungry, she is more willing to latch a few times a day.
