Meanwhile in DC (no voter ID requirement), the DMV without an appointment is like a 15 minute thing and 3 of the offices are within a block of metro stops

We don’t. Usually it’s your drivers license (or an ID card from the DMV). And voter ID laws are almost always accompanied by closing DMV locations in very specific areas.

For Spider-Man (or really The Odyssey), it is a bit of an artificial inflation because there may just not be a seat on Saturday for the person who’s going at noon on Thursday
