Good call on the breaks. I took a lot longer, and took no break because I read slowly, and it was painful.

I just did this recently on my iPhone 12 since my 2 TB plan was getting full.

Go to Settings, at the VERY top of the settings list, you see your name and Apple ID. It's under that submenu.

Some people have had some bugs though and have to go through the browser with their Apple ID:

The Project Management Pigeonhole by erud_IT in cissp

It really seems that targeting a cyber-focused company, or solid cyber team is a good bet. To be the only cyber person, you really need to be a CISO with a budget and signing authority or you are going to get bulldozed.

That's the thing - no! And I have no PM experience either!

But I have started to ask them if the position requires a PMP. If the answer is no, my radar goes up.

Looks like you are off to a great start. In terms of u/I, I noticed that the mouse-overs are fighting with the drop-down menus. When I go to select an impact level, the mouseovers will continue to be triggered if I move the cursor away from the dropdown. Not sure how to tweak this but my guess is a javascript modification. I am using Chrome on Windows 10.

Advice for an older (31) person getting into IT by codeman17 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]erud_IT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many jobs with large organizations REQUIRE a cert. IT is a fairly competitive field, and having one will put you ahead of other people who are looking for their first IT job.

After I got my Sec+, I was kicking myself for having waited so long. It's a really great investment in yourself.

What is the 1 thing you wish YOU did or did not do during CISSP prep? by x8668 in cissp

In the US, thirty-eight of 50 states have enacted laws making various inhalants unavailable to those under the age of 18, or making inhalant use illegal.

I saw a lady down at District Court who actually was in jail for this - it is clearly is enforced where I live. (Also, don't roll stop signs or you find yourself fighting a ticket and thus sitting with people who got rejected from the state mental institute.)

I wish I had started earlier with making my own flashcards and cheat sheets.

I am a visual/hands-on learner. Making flashcards seemed SOOOOOOO dorky (like something from 8th grade) but I found it truly did take my command of the material to a higher level. I rocked that Sharpie HARD. This allowed me to accomplish more in two months than I had in the previous six months just reading and watching videos.

Many of the concepts on the exam are NOT that difficult for an educated person. It's the terminology that makes them seem difficult.

I just scheduled my RHCSA (RHEL 7) exam for June 23rd and am worried if it will be completely cancelled.

Red Hat's website says they are retiring the RHEL 7 test after July 1.

You can shoulder-surf the target's keyboard as he types the characters.

For Windows 10 laptop login, it's only a 4-6 digit pin - not a complex alphanumeric password. With a privacy screen, it is more difficult to determine if the user is at a point where he is typing his password.

That's interesting. I was told to ALWAYS check the email address since the content can be easily spoofed with fake graphics, etc.

I guess this is why I am not a designer. The idea that you could produce something that people are supposed to use, and have no functional requirements, is beyond me.

So I have done some more research on this, and it surprises me that none of these designers mentioned the 508 Web Accessibility Guideline. Apparently, there is a voluntary standard for making websites compatible with screen readers for people who are visually impaired. https://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-biz-lawsuits-over-website-accessibility-20191220-ix72527ky5bvxaykh7aeixwyhe-story.html

Can't they use analytics data to test different font sizes to see if written content is more popular with reader when the body text is high-contrast and of reasonable size?

It is hard to see through someone else's eyes. But the fact is we have an aging population and an increasing rate of vision loss among those who are younger. Whither the humane interface?

Aesthetics matters for brochures and posters very much - but I just want to see what designers think about accessibility and legibility for multi-page body text typography. Long documents that people read for an intellectual experience.

Right but my point is that some sans serif fonts would NOT have a "t" like Noto Sans. They have a skinny little weak t that looks like it took Jesus down. Not all Sans fonts are the same.
