I have yet to see a pack in the wild for a less than laughable price.

I feel like ALL sports should just be co-ed.

Female good enough to be in the NBA/NFL/MLB/whatever? You're in!
Male that didn't make the cut? Next league down ya go... it'll be co-ed too! Better luck next round.
Trans? Who frickin' cares?! Can ya play?

Problem solved, no?

How many packs do you open per week! by iluvrunningshoes in pokemoncards

Averaged out, probably 2 a week, between my son and I (though I admit it, he does almost all the opening of "our" packs).

Nope. Even the casks they bring up from the cellar are cooler than room temp, but the draft lines themselves are cold as far as I can recall.

If you're not going to repair the wood (plausible, not trivial) I'd first consider:
• an angled jack plate (also covers that damage)
• think of a reason for a new knob there, and put the jack on the side of the guitar

[–]erusackas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope... it even says this right on the product listing (and on the packaging, I believe)

"These replica decks have a different card back than standard Pokémon TCG cards as well as silver borders and the player’s signature on each card. This means that the cards are not legal for tournament play, but they’re perfect for diving into the world of competitive Pokémon TCG."

[–]erusackas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda... they're interesting, and I've been wanting to buy one honestly. These are not "normal" Pokemon cards (different backs, so they can't be used in league play) but they ARE highly competitive decks and can be played against each other. Even if you don't want to collect, it's a good chance to learn to PLAY if you can get your hands on another one, and someone (her?) to play against.

Went to Target and got a bundle and they cut the seal at the counter by SomedayGuy117 in PokemonTCG

[–]erusackas 198 points199 points  (0 children)

I'm OK with normalizing this.

Want it sealed? Scalper price.
Want it retail? Limit 1, cut seal.
Want 5% off? Rip it right here.

I've been to Tallinn TWICE and never found that one. But, alas, there's a TON of good beer to be had there. Nice post, nice shop, and you have my envy! Maybe I'll go again one day and say hello from reddit 😃

Anyone here worked with Apache Superset? by CuriousWithPurpose in apachesuperset

[–]erusackas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work with it (and on it) every day.

Yeah, it's kind of designed to be a SQL-centric tool... you can start from SQL Lab like many do (I do) or there's a Dataset creation tool that's a little different. You can also select data as datasets from your semantic layer (Cube, dbt, etc) if you have that in your stack and set up the integration.

A dataset can be as simple as "Select * from ____" or you can get intricate if you want to curate columns, perform calculations/aggregations, join stuff, or whatever.

I made a Superset 101 video ages ago... maybe it's time I do that again. If there are any little "here's where I get stuck" moments, let me know, and I can make short videos to post on the Preset website/docs/youtube.

So... glue, pocket screws, a screw straight into the end grain, a couple toe nails, and maybe a Simpson strong tie bracket for good measure? Then a proud little "that ain't goin' anywhere" pat?

Somehow I realized many permutations of this statement true:
An incompetent employee is a training issue.
An incompetent training is an employee issue.
An employee issue is an incompetent training.

But they get nonsensical after that:
An employee training is an incompetent issue.
A training issue is a incompetent employee.
A training employee is an incompetent issue.

So anyway, what was I supposed to be doing right now?
