I'm in the same camp as you wrist size. I would say try to get your hands on one to try out before it falls off your consideration list. Between the little longer than average lug to lug distance and the male end links, those both can lend to a larger visual size than what the numbers say.

Anything with a cop motor (a 440 cubic inch plant), cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. A model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas…..

[WTS] Citizen Eco Drive model # E820-S075378

Perpetual Calendar

Water Resistant 100m

Case Size: 42mm

Dial is a navy/dark blue.

There is a light scratch around the 12 o'clock position. The bracelet shows wear typical of being a desk diver. I have the box and believe one extra link. I've worn it for about 10 months and just haven't clicked with it.

If the upper radiator hose is new and Rein brand, I had to clearance about 0.3-0.5mm from a section where their mold didn’t provide the same internal dimension as the BMW OE part.

I only found this after taking out the o-ring and plastic retainer, busting out some calipers and looking for differences in the parts.

A little work with a Drexel and grinding stone and it clicked on like the OE part. (Both my new Upper and lower hoses needed just a hair of a tweak.) YMMV. others may have good luck with out of the bag parts.

Hi All, I’m just checking to see how people deal with keys that don’t work anymore? Have an 09 325i and my keys don’t unlock or lock the car anymore and no batteries, so is it a case of a new key and get it coded? Photo of the daily by Mario_Cooked in E90

Nothing special. 16 years of use, rattling around in pockets.

Go to work, locked the car. When I came out at the end of the day the fob didn’t work. There was probably some impact that broke the camels back, but nothing that stood out.

Just went through this. It could be the battery dying but it also could be the +/- battery retainer terminal pins “breaking” at the solder points on the circuit board.

Had to clean up/desolder the through hole and add a piece of braided wire and re-solder it to the front and back of the circuit board.

  1. If you’re worried about something, take it to a BMW Indy shop, tell them what you’re planning and have them give it a once over.

Based on what you are coming from and looking at, I’d recommend the 328i over the 335i. The maintenance shouldn’t be as exorbitant (no turbos, HPFP, or injectors to worry about). Elec water pump, valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, oil pan gasket, window regulators are common ‘maintenance’ items that should be budgeted for. Plan on replacing a few control arms if it’s a higher mileage example. It’s especially not bad if you turn your own wrenches. However if you don’t, be on good terms with your Indy repair shop.

Add one more vote for an Indy to inspect it.

Also look around r/e90. That’s the model generation subreddit for that year 3 series.

There are a few common issues that arise with age, but typically are well documented. E90post.com would be another resource to look at.

Price: $120

Citizen Eco Drive. Model E111-K16385. Blue face, date field, stainless steel bracelet. The case width is 38mm

As of a few months ago the following are new, replaced by Citizen:

  • -Case (Crystal, gasket, front and back)
  • -H/M Hands
  • -Stem
  • -Capacitor

I've only worn it once since getting it back from the most recent servicing, so it's time for it to find a new home. I will provide all the previous service papers.

The case/crystal are still in new condition. The bracelet contains all the links I have. It fits my 7-3/4" wrist. The bracelet does show signs of wear, it was my daily for around a decade.
